I think the Zarrow book very good, with a wealth of material. At first I was taken by the "moves" but I am now looking at the tricks section. Much of the book is concerned with setting the record straight, as to who invented what and some of the sleights are finesses, but none the less welcome for that. If you can afford it, buy it!
The book is spoilt a little by some poor proof reading. In the two days I have had the book I have noticed that pinkies and first fingers are confused on page 347, a previously unknown female magician "Frances Caryle" is introduced at page xiii; possibly a sister to Francis Carlye. Picture 1 on page 333 is at variance with the text. Max |

Mrehula, in "What books are excellent, "must have" classics..." thread, is supplying the following testimony:
"The new Zarrow book. So far I've been 'sipping' this book, enjoying the quality of the work and the depth of thought behind every move . . . but at this rate I'll be long dead before I'd be done."

Old thread but yea, this is a fantastic book.
There's some much good stuff in here but even if you only buy it for the shuffle it's worth it. Most detail given on one move I've ever seen |
