Golf.
I'm proud to say that I have NEVER played a hole in my entire life. Did you hear about the dyslexic Golfer? Everytime he tee'd off he would yell FIVE! |

Golf is the closest game to the game we call life. You get bad breaks from good shots; you get good breaks from bad shots - but you have to play the ball where it lies.

I played golf on a par three course with Lodge Brother the other day. He plays basketball from 4:30 to about 9:00 every Wednesday. After 18 holes he was exhausted and could not understand why golf was more draining than an even longer duration of basketball. I told him most sports are reactionary, and the mind makes spontaneous decisions much like blinking. While golf requires strategies and decision base on each situation and seldom are any two alike. Golf is the most mentally demanding of all sports, it is chess on manicured and maintained life size board, with addition of hazards and the unpredictable wind and weather, combined with the only way to lose is trough your own mistakes and inabilities. My only regret in golf is not learning to play as a young man. Don’t forget the visual splendor of a beautifully landscaped park like settings that most golf courses provide.

I golf twice a year and I'm good at it. Last time I was in the Bahamas I hit the links. My dad gets out all the time, but, he still doesn't play as well as me.

Golf is a game that spoils a good walk.

I took a lesson from a golf pro once. It turns out that I wasn't even getting out of my car correctly

No, I've only played golf with one Café member(twice I think), and it just so happens that I stink a little bit less than he does.

The first most important thing to learn is the proper grip next is the back swing, then keep your head still as possible while watching the club impact the ball and fallow trough. If you get the first three correct, the rest will almost assuredly be as natural as breathing.
The best thing I've ever purchased to improve my swing. http://www.sportnetting.com/products/cages_packages.html It does not have to be the most expensive one just one that keeps you from being sued.
