Does anyone know who holds the copyright for the books published by George Armstrong & "Magic Wand Publications"? (I'm assuming he's dead). Were the rights purchased by another dealer or did they pass to his surviving relatives? I was thinking of "donating" an html version of one of his books to The Learned Pig Project but I've no idea if it's mine to give.

I wouldn't donate the book unless I was really sure Steve. I don't know if Armstrong is alive or dead, but perhaps Marko would know. You may also want to post the query on some other sites. I do think that he sold some stuff through Supreme magic in Engand (now defunct I believe), also ads in Abra and The Gen, both magazines were published in England.
The whole issue of copying, unauthorized distribution, etc. is running rampant right now and I, for one, wouldn't want to be part of that type of activity. I hope you find the answer you seek Steve. Good Luck ![]() |

You will be pleased to hear that your advice was acted on, precognativley of course, last week when I posted this query over on the Genii board. It turns out that the right's to George's material were purchased by Martin Breese, so needless to say I won't be going any further with this idea. Thanks for the sage words though.
