Hey all,

Thought you needed to know. I was just reading the Café' after a bit of an absence and came across this posting under "Looking out for our own" from member EddyRay:

Posted: Nov 6, 2008 1:42pm

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
" Greetings All,

I got word today Al went in for bypass surgery. He was going to be at the Kutztown Convention this Saturday but will not make it due to the surgery.

I wish him well and my thoughts and prayers are with him and family.

Al wanted everyone to know, and to the people who were planning on seeing him at the convention that he hopes to see you all soon.

Get Well Al!

Eddy "

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm sure he'd appreciate it if y'all went there and posted a quick note to him if you feel so inclined. It would be nice to learn some updated info from someone close to him if possible, too.
Don't know you well (or much at all), but I have enjoyed reading some of your posts and am anxious to get your answers to some of my questions.
So glad to hear you're doing well.
Al,
I am glad to hear it and I am very much looking forward to it.
I remember when you gave a great rubber band lecture at IBM 6 in Springfield, PA a year or two ago.
Thanks a lot, Al.
Get well!
The funniest things happened to me in the hospital:
1. In the operating room they asked me if I worked in construction because my arms were very hard, and I told them that I haven't worked for 10 years.
2. The doctor told me that he might have to take an artery out of one of my arms. I said WHAT! Then he promised that he would not touch my arms.
3. The physical therypist told me that my hands were badly swollen, and I would need special theropy to get them back to normal. I explained to her that jugglers have muscular hands, and if anything they are kinda soft, so she said to me "you mean that you juggle for money?"
We are real odd balls in society.
I wished I'd seen this earlier, glad you are alright Al! I wondered where you'd gone too... It's good to have you back.
