This thread asked about a game, which was determined to be Rough and Ready by Dick Zimmerman. Several of us were interested in more information on it, and since the search did not turn up much, I figured I would start a new thread to discuss it.

Does anyone have this and can share a review? How does it go over?
I like the black better than the green that seems to be available now. Does anyone know where we could get a black background?

Thanks
Dan

I've had mine for YEARS, and it's the green cloth. Didn't know there was a black version.

Hey Steve,

How do you perform this and how does it go over with your spectators?

I just discovered this thread. I use "Rough and Ready" to build a tip. It is an almost a self-working "game" with the spec moving a marker round the handkerchief game board without ending on the ace of spades. Moves are determined by the selection of a card from a packet.

To give a little "historical" feel to the game, I use the "1865" Bicycle cards because of their antique look, and a fool's gold nugget for the marker.

I use this to open my set, then go into my "endless chain" routine.

I know this is an old thread but does anyone know if Rough and Ready is written up in any magic books?

Thanks,
Keegan
