Hi I just got burn and put the gimmick together. Canadian money is different colour depending on the denomination(fives are blue, twentys are green) I am find that it is very noticible( my wife noticed right away) I know that you have to count it a certain way but I am finding that one can see the dfferent colours peeking out of each end. Any ideads from any one else !

Either find a way to change twenties to "different" twenties (fake blood, marks, etc.) or use US currency.
Only ideas I have, sorry I can't be of more help. |

All help is appreciated. Wow, I am really disapointed with this effect. I really cannot believe that Sanders markets this effect as usable with canadian money.I am starting to feel like I have been duped. Too bad, it is a great effect(if you live in the US.)

Try using magazine clippings to money. That way the color of the magazine will help to hide the color of the bills. You could also use blue or green paper and change them into real money.

I know you can change money to other things, but every one will agree that changing the denominations is the strongest effect and was the reason why I bought the effect. He should have stated on the DVD cover that there is issues concerning the use of this gimmic with certain currencies. I feel ripped off.

After using Hundy with US money for the past two years, I was planning on setting up EB this week with Canadian currency. Sounds like it may not be the best way to go.
I noticed one of those million dollar bills today that was made from an actual Canadian 5.00 bill. Because they are both blue (one being a photocopy of the other), perhaps you could change a $5.00 bill into one million dollars. Then you could hand out one or two of the million dollar bills (with your contact info on them) as a type of business card. All you'd have to do then is to replace the million dollar bills (photocopy and cut them out at home). Just a thought. Brian |

I don't see the problem with different colours using Extreme Burn. I do it all the time from copied black and white bills to real euro bills.
Here's what I did to make sure that the contrast is minimized: 1) I have the bills when couting in a kind of mechanics grip. The pinky is in the back to make sure that the thick packet remains hidden and stays in place. 2) Make sure when counting that the thick packet is facing you. 3) Also, it helps when you perform the effect sideways and more at chest level. 4) I change 4 bills, not 5. That way the packet is less thick. 5) Furthermore, try it for lay people! Maybe they can give you some feedback! I hope this information is any useful! Good luck! Fritz |

Thanx For the advice Fripsmaster and everyone else. Fitz, I have been using all of your sugestions already but to no avail. I have tried it for lay people and most noticed the bill that is folded unevenly for the get ready. it sticks out like a sore thumb. I have practiced the moves for a number of changes and I am proficent and confident that I am doing everything reasonably well and I have performed it over 2 dozen times. 2 thirds of the time laymen have noticed the different colours. I finaly gave up trying to do it with canadian money. I know the effect is not a total waste, Its just that I bought the efect specificaly to do what they show on the demo vid. Now either I truly suck at this trick (I doubt that. It is not that hard. The Pass on the other hand....) or their is something wrong with it. That is why I feel I have been had and I feel I should warn Canadians thinking about buying this effect.

Two of my acquaintances who have Extreme Burn are also having problems doing it with Canadian currency.

I don't have Extreme Burn, but I've seen it done with Canadian money several times (a local magician I know uses it regularly) and it worked perfectly, no flashes, no nothing. The change was gorgeous.
Perhaps something in the construction of the gaff? Perhaps something in the handling? I can't say because I don't own it, but maybe just knowing that it can be done will help... -Travis |

Yeah, all I can say is to make the gimmick as perfect as humanly possible! I found I had to make an absolutely perfect gimmick for both Greed and Extreme Burn. Also, go watch yourself do the effect in the mirror and slightly change the handling if you have to.
Now that you know the effect and the handling, you should be altering it a bit to meet your performance style/needs anyways! Hope that helps. |

Hi,
Im sorry you are having problems with Extreme Burn. I have had slow burn for over a year and it is fantastic. I just recently purchased Extreme Burn and this is the BEST hand magic I have ever seen. I recommend you do what you can to make this work. There are some good suggestions here but if all else fails use US Currency. One dollar bills and Five Dollar bills. If you live in Canada you shouldnt have any problem getting them and canadians should recognize dollar bills. I hope this works out for you. Good Luck |
