Great review, Greg. Congratulations! How do the rest of us get to see your film?

Unfortunately, until I can sell it most people won't be able to see it. You can watch a trailer of it on my website: http://www.clowntearsproductions.com
It's getting a little depressing that I keep winning awards and having great articles written about it, but I can't sell it. Right now I have three other individuals taking it to some distributors, but I won't hold my breath because I've been down that path for the last two years. Greg

You know that's a really good review! What I'd like to know is do you still have chains and shackles in your basement? (!!). Anyway, I congratulate you on your energy, enthusiasm and hard work. Purely as an observation from a distance, do you think being based on Hollywood Boulevard is being 'a tiny fish in a big sea' - rather than working from somewhere where you can be 'a big fish in a tiny sea'? (just a thought).

I'm still fighting to get it distributed even though it keeps winning awards and getting good press. Right now I have one guy who is shopping it around, but unfortunately my private funds have run low so I'm in the process of trying to put together a show that I can market on my own and maybe pull in some bucks. By the way, my editors and I did some fake promo commercials and used Shoot Ogawa in them. You can check those commercials out by going to http://www.curiousorangefilms.com. I believe you can see them in their gallery section under either promos or TV spots. Greg

You know Greg, many people believe that those who enter the world of media and entertainment are making some sort of escape from reality. In fact, as we all know, the 'business' is probably one of, if not THE toughest jungle on the planet (maybe politics is worse?). In my 37 years of being actively involved I've seen quite useless actors be just in the right place at the right time for ten minutes of their life, and secure decades of work in TV 'Soaps'. Why, even the guy who's probably the world's biggest movie star at the moment, Sean Connery, just had that 'few minutes from God' whereby he turned from a building site worker to a bottom of the ladder actor, who obviously had the talent to move on up. In my teens and 20s I was an exceptional 'middle of the road' pianist - but I was born 20 years too late! Fortunately, I realised this in time and instead of ending up in some English Pub on the Costa Del Sol or being buried alive on some cruise ship playing for people having soup, I stepped sideways into other things both in and out of entertainment, and it paid off. As well as the 'big fish/small fish' scenario, I was taught that to move in a straight line you have to be prepared to frequently go sideways, and you know, some of those who do move sideways strike it lucky and achieve their original ambitions.
Had faults trying to look at curiousorange by the way, but good luck. Tony. |

Yes, you never know when lightning is going to strike... that's why I always wear my aluminum hat.
