If you do your own bag make it like a cylinder. It opens lots of additional possibilities (look for example at "bags of everything" by Lewis Ganson).
With these you can start with a two cups routine and use the bag as third cup (and you know what? It could be a chop bag!)
Work at your bag it's an underused prop.

The cylindrical bag is not difficult to make. You can either make it by having a circular piece for the bottom, or you can fake it by tucking the corners of a flat bag in toward the center of the bottom seam and forming a square bottom.

If you have a set of MM cups that has a vinyl bag, look at how they did that. It's a lens bag thing.

I came across this thread while learning Michael Ammar's C&B routine and after reading everything, decided to make my own bag. I like it a lot. I thought I'd share how I did it (pics and a pattern) if anyone is interested: http://www.kentheriotmagic.com/making-a-......d-balls/

Cheers!

Some beautiful and finely crafted bags come from the Ambitious Card. Frank where are you? His custom bags are just amazing.

I keep my copper PF chick cups in one of Frank's bags. It's the same bag he makes for Dean's Box but smaller for cups.

There are a couple of old camera stores in Houston. I check them about once a month to see if they have any lens bags. Those work quite well. A couple of weeks ago, I found a wonderful Nikon lens case that would be perfect for a set of VanDokkum chick cups.

Bill, left you an email from my iCloud email account. I sent the email to curator@thecupsandballsmuseum.com Just wanted to make sure you got it

Thanks,
Jake

Thanks Jake.
Here's my favorite bag. 100% hand made (like all our bags) but just very special.
If I'm not mistaken, a Café member suggested the style and name "jester bag" and bought the first one.

If you have a metaphysical shop in your area that caters to psychics, they usually have a large selection of drawstring bags for crystals.

For a simple bag, you don't even have to get a sewing machine.....it doesn't take long to to do one by hand. A cylinder of cloth, circle for the bottom top edge folded down and stitched, making a channel for a cord....just sew all the various edges together in the way that will assemble the bag inside out (if you are using fabric that has two distinct side, like velvet). Turn the stitched bag "out-side-in" and you are done.

Pulling the cups out of something everyone recognizes, like a Crown Royal bag could prevent their minds from thinking "Magic Prop" when they see the cups.

In my early teens I would instantly think "Trick Deck" whenever I saw a Fox Lake card. It was years later I saw a non gaffed deck of Fox Lake. I didn't know they made regular decks.
To this day I won't use Fox Lake cards. I don't want any spectators suspecting trick cards.

We just made a custom "Steam Punk" jester bag.
We've had several requests for a "Steam Punk" pouch but this was the first time for a jester bag.
I love the look.

Steam Punk meaning... black and brown. It's a great color combo.

I'll try to upload a pic.
