I know this sounds like a commercial, but I am just excited about this.
Some of you probably already know about this but I have been using this the last month or so and it has changed my magic - for the better. I am sure many of you out there have magic friends that live too far to see. Skype lets you talk face to face in real time using your web cam. It is the perfect tool for magicians. It reminds me of the Jetsons cartoon. Skype.com allows you to talk using your web cam face to face with another person. All you both need is a web cam, microphone and speakers. The quality is quite good considering it is free.

Kind of surprised nobody has commented on this. There are several Café members that I know use it.
As I said, I have no affiliation with Skype, I just am excited by how useful it has been for doing magic sessions with my Café friends.

I hate speaking to people on the phone, why would I want to compound that by looking at them?

Skype is almost like having the person sitting right in front of you. For sessions with another magician it is ideal. I have friends on the Café that I have chatted with. If it wasn't for skype I probably wouldn't know them as well. Also, bouncing ideas off another magician is what makes us all better.

Well who can I talk to? My best friend is dead, I don't like but five people in the world, one of which isn't allowed on the Café, and the other four don't like me.

Magic Santa,
If you are looking to talk magic PM me. I'll talk to you. Skype has allowed me to learn so much and I've only been using it for about six weeks.
