Bunch of Rookies...
"I Spit on your Grave. Day of the Woman(1978)" The initial rape scene is something to behold.
One time, when I was young, I botched a sleight so bad, Vernon, Marlo & Miller rolled over in their graves. But I didn't see Elmsley, probably because he was behind the others.

I once saw an interview with Joel, Mike, Frank, and Trace from MST3K. They pointed out that they had to watch those movies several times a day for a week to write the jokes and dialogue. By the time they taped the actual performance they HATED those movies!
Can you imagine having to watch "Manos:Hands of Fate" all day long for a week, and then try to be funny afterward? Ugh. I'll take the hour of wrestling flaming porcupines instead. |

So far, I've only seen one movie listed: Billy the Kid Meets Dracula. I was probably 7 or 8 at the time, and it was a friend's birthday party, so I never really noticed the quality of the film. We went to a double feature, with the other being Watusi. IIRC I fell momentarily in love with a really pretty woman in Watusi.
Ahhh. To be young enough to fall in love with a B-movie actress again... John

A Uwe Boll film based on Dungeon Siege. Mercifully I cannot remember the name. I was about to pull the plug on its awfulness, then Burt Reynolds showed up...

Interesting about peoples tastes. I HATED borat, but thought tropic thunder was awesome. For a good time, listen to the commentary. Robert downy does the commentary in character (who is a character of an actor in the movie...)

Though I liked sections, I have to say that "Tropic Thunder" was the most vulgar movie I have ever seen. Ever. Period.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

Was just forced to sit through Awake, starring Jessica Alba.
How the heck did they manage to get Terence Howard, Lena Olin and Alba to sign on to this thing? The script and direction (by the same person) were something an NYU film student would be ashamed of--and that's saying a lot!

You mean nobody has mentioned *Satan's Cheerleaders* -- with the incredible premise that Satan "converted" these cheerleaders so their football team could win? Bad acting, bad direction, bad editing --- this one looked like they THOUGHT they were making a real movie, but after viewing it, decided to call it a "comedy" horror film.
The only movie we've walked out on (which disqualifies it from this thread) was the 1977 *Sorcerer* which was about men you couldn't like doing things you couldn't stand with all the emotions of people who never lived. If you ever thought Roy Scheider couldn't turn in a bad job - this proves even the best actor can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. *jeep! --Grandpa Chet

Borat is very rud and not at all mature, but when I just think how those people in the real world situations were thinking as some weirdo was walking around doing this, just made me laugh!

The Spirit has to be up there with as it's a nearly unwatchable bit of celluloid.
Really Z grade films like Satan's Cheerleaders or the Creeping Terror shouldn't be in the running as "Worst Movies Ever Made" as you're expectations of them being unwatchably bad are pretty high. The only serious contenders for the title should come out of the legitimate big name studios as they ought to know better.

Once more...the subject is bad movies that when they are on
you are compelled to watch when it is on NOT simply bad movies, that is too easy. Perhaps I should put a post like "literacy, why bother?" |
