Yep... We just did a big show together in Nashville on Halloween. He will be at WC, and we may have something special planned... bwhahaha!
And the challenge is still out there for Bairefoot to square off anytime, anyplace... |

This looks like it's going to be another fun convention. I may just get off work to come to this one. It would be cool to see everybody again.

Hey,
I just got home from the MacMillian International championships in London and a convention in Shenzhen, China and saw this thread. Sure does look like a great line up! I was just with Fukai in China and I am a huge fan of the Pendragons. Add to that the talents of Stoil, Ken and Mark and we are going to have a blast ... Look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones ... Shawn 2008 MacMillian International Champion Three - Time FISM Award Winner Check out my interview on http://www.magicnewswire.com |

Shawn Farquhar has the best last name in magic.
I'd love to see a BDC/Bairefoot challenge. I propose it look something like this: 1. Both men wake up at 7 am and do the Triple S. First one to the lobby clean cut and smelling good gets bonus points. 2. Each performs a card effect for the judges. 3. Foot race to Ruby Tuesday, chicken wing eating competition ensues. First man to eat 50 wings and have a clean face gets bonus points. 4. Each performs a dancing cane effect for the judges (sorry, Bairefoot) 5. Foot race to the theater. Each tries to push his signature product to 13 convention attendees (Theatrical Magic book vs. Coin in Balloon DVD). Man who sells the most gets bonus points. 6. Each performs (on stage) a routine where a giant card fan opens behind them in the end (sorry, BDC). And, I think for fairness, BDC must wear the red coat and hat, and Bairefoot must wear that brightly colored women's shirt he wore to the convention a few years back. I think the winner should get a night with Lance Johnson and his bullwhip.

I just hate that WCM is in March because I always have a busy performing schedule for that month. I am sorry to tell you that I will not be able to make the entire convention because I am already booked for Thursday and Friday. That means that I will miss Fuki, Shawn, Stoil, and Mark Mason. I worked Midwest Jubilee with Mark and Stoil in August 2008. Let me tell you that Friday night show is going to be great. Hopefully, I can make it down to the Saturday night show to see the Pendragons....Ok I really just want to see Charlotte. ha! Joseph Young

Joe Young coming too?? Holy cow. That's why I like this convo, people I actually like go there... haha... Joe, BDC, Wampler, Scott (and Christian), Scot (not to be confused with Scott), Magical Wishes, and the rest. What a great group of guys.
If it wasn't for Winter Carnival I probably wouldn't know the most of you. BDC don't have me whacked, You know I'm a true fan! I've seen BDC perform two or three times, as well as lecture. He's the real deal. Kyle, I know what you're saying about Joe. He has this whole "thing" where he likes to book shows. Forget getting paid to perform! I'd rather pay to see others perform. Haha... Speaking of which, I'd like to meet Kyle. I hear we look the same... ahhaaha.

WCM is still my favorite convention. And I agree with Mike Elam, a lot of friends show up and it is a great time. I personally wish they would move back to the Gatlinburg convention center but...
Kyle, some of us were watching the World Magic Awards last week and several folks said that your Ping Pong Ball act would have been great on there. You should send a dvd in to Gay for the new series coming up. |

Kyle,
It was a little joke for those who know me. I would say I look more like BDC than you... hahaha... Someone above said I look like Penn Jilette... while not a dead ringer, I guess I can see where they're coming from. Check out http://www.truthandtrickery.com for a pic.

I am already booked in Axton, VA on Thursday, Johnson City, TN on Friday, and Washington, NC on Sunday. However, I am hopping to make it to WCM on Saturday. I just hope it all works out because I love WCM, but agree with Scot Price that it needs to be move back to Galintinburg, TN. Kyle...I video tape the World Magic Awards if you missed it. Good luck on anyone who does not live in Las Vegas or Hollywood getting an award or performing on that type of show. However, I was very happy to see my buddy Dan Sperry get some repect. Kyle, your Ping Pong Ball act is much better than Kyle Esche (Teen Winner of Comedy on the World Magic Awards). Btw, I also think he is booked for IBM. Go figure! Joseph Young
