Hi all
I am currently editing footage for a new promo video I am putting together for my website and for sending to clients. I have just uploaded a rough cut to my webserver for people to preview. It is not complete and there is still some editing work to go but I think it stands up pretty well and that a few here might like to see it. Featured stunts include blockhead, bed of nails, broken glass, fire eating, fire breathing, and more. There is a couple of shots of concrete block on bed of nails that will literally make you wince! The vid is a realplayer file and can be downloaded from: [outdated link] Be warned, the music contains some swearing! Let me know what you think. Have fun Straitjacket Guy Hi all You might be interested to know that the unfinished promo listed above has now been deleted and replaced with a finished one. It can be found at: [outdated link] There is also a blockhead video there, and a couple of other interesting pieces of footage. Lemme know what you think. Have fun Straitjacket guy

I tried the blockhead act, and sneezed so hard, I nailed a spectator to a wall. How do you stop from sneezing?
OK...UPDATE: I just got a Bic pen 3.5 inches up there. David, I do have a HUGE respect for your act! |

Keep trying Scott. The sneezing will stop pretty quickly. Just take care and don't rush things, give your passages a chance to get used to it. If you go to fast you can make them more sensitive, so take your time. It shouldn't take too long before you barely notice it at all
Have fun David Straitjacket

David, from one twiztid serial killin' juggalo to another, let me say, great tape and GREAT music.
Also, on the blockhead act, when I first started I practiced with Q-Tips, I'm not sure how this holds up health wise, but it can't be worse than a steel nail. I like the Q-tips to start with because they tickle MUCH more than a nail, if you can take a soft cottony q-tip with no sneezing, the nail shouldn't present a problem. |

Hi all
I have heard mixed opinions about Q-tips, some have recommended them, others have pointed out that they can leave fibres in your nose. And fibres make a perfect breeding ground for bacteria. I know this to be true from my piercing days, for instance cleaning a nose piercing with a Q-tip could easily leave fibres trapped at the piercing site, and this could cause nasty infections. Therefore they are avoided for piercing purposes. This experience would leave me sitting on the side of caution about using them to practise blockhead. Also the fact that they could snap off worries me too, I can see the possibility that the cotton bud on the end could get left behind up there. This would not be good Hey Hayze, I am just putting together another vid for the site, this one will be MUCH more extreme. The music I will probably use is Different by Twisted, which is the one with the line 'twisted serial killing juggalo' MCL Have fun David Straitjacket

David,
The cotton fibers issue is what I was worried about when I mentioned the health issues, was worried they could become a problem. Awesome video man. |

I have lost several Q-tips in there now, the sneeze factor does go away! That's awesome. I just need to do it 2 or 3 times before I do it live so I become desensitized. Now for the streets! I am aiming for some street work next week, I'm buying my license Wednesday (yes Chicago requires a performers license)!
