And a lot of the credit (or blame) goes to their Magic shows. Scary thought. So I expect Masters of Illusion to play for a while and then have the MM back for the rest of its run. Most networks don't show new stuff during the Christmas season because viewership goes down so that's why he-who-must-not-be-watched was off. I was very surprised to hear that MyTV's ratings improved, but considering the state of most new shows on the big four networks more people might have been giving them a look over. Eric Jamborsky

I don't HATE ILLUSIONISTS.
I actually enjoy a good illusionist. Tough to find I readily admit, but great to watch.

Man...I'm all bummed now....Steve looks like my late mother and Dennis looks like my father...I'm just a total wreck myself.
Best illusionist working right now is Kalin and Jinger. Am I the only one who sees the name Jinger and pronounces it like ringer? |

January's Magic Magazine stated Masters of Illusion will start in the MM position on Jan 5th, and end in March. As of now, the it has replaced MM slot, so if MM is going to finish their 5 programs, it will have to be after March.
Also it is in High Definition. The list of performers is quite impressive. Dennis

Question: How do you save a lawyer from drowning?

I also got confirmation from a source connected with the show that it is indeed coming back.
I should probably elaborate to avoid a messy situation. I know one of the dancer/assistants on the show. She confirmed that it will be coming back. |

FOX Reality channel will be running a Masked Magician marathon this Saturday. Not sure how many episodes but the ad I saw made it seem like they'd be running it for a few hours.

In the past, the damage that these MM style shows caused was limited by the fact that relatively few people watched them at the time they aired, but now with YouTube it's much easier to search for specific effects at any time. And with Google, people don't even have to know the name of the effect - they can just type in a general description of what they saw, and chances are that they will eventually find an explanatory link.
Just as bad, though, are some of the entries on Wikipedia. I just checked the Wikipedia entry for "chair suspension" - not that it's the most deceptive illusion by any means, but the Wikipedia entry explains the method very clearly and even includes a diagram with the placement of the gimmick. Grrr...
