$45.00 in Advance • $55.00 Week of Convention
Evening Performance • Open to the Public • 7:00 PM

Location: Peoria Consistory (directions/address to come later)

Ken Scott will be giving a "Night Before" lecture, location of that is still TBD.

Christmas is December 25th.

The Central Illinois Magic Get Together is APRIL 25th.

Yep, Bob Sanders has confirmed that he will be here as a dealer. Michael Baker is also on the list of dealers, and quite probably will be doing a lecture. It's coming together as we speak!

Currently Michael Bake's picture is the first one up on the Peoria website. (He's a on the right. Of course, as a good Republican, I think that has class.)

I also have learned that the theme is "Lost in Illusion". Love it!

We had a ball there last time.

There is now a correctly spelled domain for the convention website (:blush:)

There is now an address and google map of the location. Still more info comming. It looks like for the first time, most of the lecture times will give you a choice between two lectures.

We will have everything from clowning and comedy to card magic and youth magic. Its gonna be GREAT!!

One more update:

Had server issues (power related) yesterday, was resolved in the evening, the site is GOOD TO GO!!

The evening show should be very good. All the convention attendees get a ticket included with their registration, of course. And since we're having the event at a very large facility with an auditorium that seats over 1000, we'll sell tickets for the evening show to the general public, too. Here's the poster I designed...

It's all falling into place. April might seem like a long way off, but it'll be here before you know it. If anyone is planning to attend this event and needs to make arrangements for a motel, let me or Adam know. We'll help you get set up with a decent place.

You know, April 25, 2009 is the closest it has ever been! It is nearly here.

I'm looking forward to this and seeing some guys I never seem to see anywhere else.

I even get to see Michael Baker there and he lives in Birmingham, Alabama!

Kathy and I went downtown to check out the facility yesterday. The Scottish Rite Cathedral is a neat place with a very cool old-time theater, plus a huge hall in the lower level for the lectures and dealers. Plenty of room for everyone. There is an extra large parking lot adjacent to the building which will easily accommodate everyone who attends.

Four weeks...

And don't forget, Ken Scott will be doing a Night-Before lecture at the convention location on Friday evening, April 24, at 7:00pm. This is separate from the convention, but since we get to use the same venue as part of our arrangement with the facility management, we can accommodate as many as wish to attend, and offer this lecture for a very reasonable $15. If you plan on getting to town the day before the convention, you won't want to miss this bonus lecture!
