So, words rarely fail me (Laws of averages and all that), but writing is a thorn in my side.

Is there a useful resource where one can learn the proper use of all those wierd thing like :;'[]{}? Not the "?" 'cause I got that, it was a punctuation thing.

I use the "," so often the key is broken. I think I am using it wrong, I use the ";" once in a while but don't know if it's right.

No one will ever mock my punctuation usage so I never learn...
Magic is doing improbable things with odd items that, under normal circumstances, would be unnessecary and quite often undesirable.

To be a magic nerd AND a grammar nerd is to be doubly blessed.

I tend to eschew punctuation as I am from the William S Burroughs school of writing.

But the rules run deep...you still capitalizea names and finish a sentence with a full stop!

Look for a small book called "Elements of Style" by Strunk and White.

I'm a writer by trade and passion - everything from technical to op-ed essays to newspaper reporting to a 70,000-word short novel with sequels. I ~still~ have trouble with grammar and punctuation!

Just use small sentences. You'll rarely be wrong in your punctuation.

A great book for English grammar (if you can find it) is "The Transitive Vampire"

I've also heard Elements of Style was good from one of my friends, but haven't had a chance to check it out.
