I have two effects I would like to add to my act. One is a bill in fortune cookie effect and the second is a mentalist/bank night effect. Effect-wise both are different. One is a vanish and reappearance in an inpossible location and the second is a divination of where the bills are hidden. Both, however, get humor from the fact that the spectator's money is in danger.
I'm thinking both routines in the same show would conflict with each other even if they were separated by a good amount of time. What do you guys think? Thanks, Richard |

I think you're right. By the time you got to the second bill effect, the audience would be thinking "Didn't he already do that trick?".

I would probably use them at different times, and not in the same "set".
Things are more like they are today than they've ever been before...

I agree. I think you would be better off using one in a different show.

Too similar. I would never use two "borrowed bill" tricks in one show.

However!?
what if you combine them this way. effect one borrowed money and fail to find it then go on with show and later borrow money form another spectactor and when that effect ends they both end up inthe fortune cookie. that's just a short version of what I am thinking. with out knowing more of the routines I can not offer more advice. if they both stand strong on there own then I would alternate them and use one for one you have a repeat cutomer. just my thoughts good luck sam

Either that or borrow the spectator's money to start off with, fail to find it, then borrow some more money from same person right after you can't find the first bill, and eventually find both bills in the same location.
