A PHENOMENAL list for the past year!! I LOVE making tough choices and the fact that the past year has seen a wealth of GREAT literature makes the choice even tougher, ergo, I am ecstatic!
My vote goes to "Approaching Magic" David Regal has written was I believe to be a future classic. The essays alone should be bound as a separate book! Vlad |

While I believe Regal's "Approaching Magic" is a fantastic book, my vote has to go to Joshua Jay's "Magic the Complete Course." This is primarily because I think Jay's book is the more likely to have a greater effect on magic as a whole by opening the doors to a new generation of magicians. It is in my humble opinion, the best beginners book on magic since Mark Wilson's and the first specifically geared to appeal to budding magicians of today.
