Wow! That appears to be a fairly comprehensive list you've assembled there Yaniv.
Thank you!

The best telephone effect I perform uses the concept of the "invisible telephone". I never performed an effect as strong as this one. But... it's a secret !.. Sorry !

It is described nowhere because it is one of my personnal effect.
The effect is this : a spectator choose a card. FREELY, no force. 52 possibilities. You ask him to phone to your home and he can hear on the answering machine YOUR voice predicting EXACTLY the just chosen card. It works perfectly and it is the best effect I can perform. Not easy but a sure-fire ! Best, Fred |

Since it is a free choice, may I then just suggest that you also consider using it for something without cards, if possible? (Perhaps that was obvious? ...just trying to help out...)

Mark Strivings Sort of Numerology works well as a phone effect.

They don't have a free choice.
They only have 52 choices... Sorry. I had to say it. Yaniv Deautsch You could also use phones for other magical uses other than mind-reading. Yaniv Deautsch Uri Geller's teleportation of himself from Manhattan to Puharich's home in Ossining was based on just one phone call... Yaniv Deautsch |

Yaniv, please tell us more about Gellers teleportation. What was the story?

You could read all about it in geller's book:'My{Boring} Story'.
or in: 'Uri Geller Magician or Idiot?' or something like that. It's free on his web site. Yaniv Deautsch |

There's a cell phone effect that I would like to find out about. I think it was put out by John Cornelious, although I'm not sure about that.
However, I think the routine is a "think of any card" routine and the performer then dials a number and the person that answers the phone tells the spectator what card they were thinking of. Could someone tell me more about this effect and where I could get it? I think it is pretty expensive, too. Jerry .. |

Of course, you have to sneak a call from another room to alert your friend that you are about to do the trick and to make sure your friend will answer the phone. Then you come back and the spectator can think of any card he wants to. It is really a free choice. When he's done all you do is tell him the number of a person to call on the phone. Then you tell him to ask for... I'm sure you can figure it out from there. Duke |

Duke, I can see how that routine would be pretty effective. However, the one I want is a single person effect. It is the 3rd item on this page.

I've got a GREAT idea....The 21 Card Trick performed over the phone!!!
Actually, the one effect I perform frequently over the phone, to great effect, is Paul Fox's Miracle Gimmick. Also, for a few non-card ideas, I would suggest Max Maven's video of several years ago, "Mindgames."
