Seems like many posts made in public areas fall into exposure.

Can more of the categories be made "over 50 posts" ? For example, the C&B area has ALOT of discussion that should not be open to public.

I think public should only see the very general sections...

Any comments from Café management about the possibility of this? Or reasons NOT to make more secret areas and less public?

Mark, I understand you point however, this could be applied to almost every forum we have on the Café, not just those concerning cups and balls. We would need one set of forums for general discussions and one for detailed discussions for every one. We have partially solved that problem by creating the Banquet room.

There are basically two situations that occur. One, a member with less than 50 posts asks a question and those that respond go into detail which exposes the method. The other is a member who has the required 50 posts to enter the banquet room but chooses to post in a public forum. This also leads to members responding in detail.

The basic resolution to this problem is for members to remember the rules about exposure and limit their discussions to generalities unless they are in the secret areas.
