I can't get the balls to reliably release when replacing them onto the third ball either on the top of another cup or on top of the ball itself, alone on the table. In over one hundred attempts I've had them dislodge less than thirty percent of the time. How do you get them to reliably dislodge?

The balls you've used have stronger magnets than Sherwoods. If they're rolling they will attract each other at distances greater than an inch. I apologize for my exaggeration. It was actually sort of comical watching them chase each other. It wasn't very magical though.

The cups you've made are taller than the Sherwoods, significantly taller. This means to attract up you have to have stronger magnets.

I don't think the cups you've made will reliably dislodge the balls. Hence my posting above:

Perhaps I've a bad set and the rest are fine.

RNT2 has been making adjustable chop balls for a little while now... perhaps the strength issue could be resolved with this simple operation?

I have a copy of your routine; so keep me in mind for the updates. As to you problem with the ball, DJ is correct. Try adjusting the ball, Call me or PM me if you need any help. I had to do it with my chop cup and it works like a charm. Jake helped me through that problem as I didn't know the balls were adjustable.

I've tried adjusting the balls. It wasn't the path to the solution. I've sent Ms. Epiphany a message and I await her response, along these lines. When she responds I'll post herein.

Well I contacted RNT2 via email and PM on this site. They have more important things to do than muck about with me.

This is a formal retraction.

You can most certainly do The Fun Shop Cups and Balls with the cups RNT2 sold. If you've purchased the cups or acquired them elsewhere, feel free to email me if you have troubles with the routine. For 100% repeatability you will probably have to change one thing in the routine. It will be imperceptible to your spectators.

If you have the beautiful copper Mendoza cups and send off to RNT2 for a set of balls that were made for the Aluminum cups they seem to work just fine as well. In fact their extra weight makes them darned near perfect.

The routine is easier for me with heavier cups. RNT2 may have lost some business due to my getting upset. For that I do apologize. My only desire was to ensure the routine could be done with the cups. After spending several hours experimenting with both sets of cups, (Paid for btw, by me), I have gotten clean run thoughs on the sticky points ten times in a row, with both sets of RNT2 cups.

The Copper Mendozas (must get balls set from RNT2!!!!) work wonderfully well! They've a nice heft.

I just wanted to set the record straight since I have clouded this issue in the past. This is not an endorsement, simply a statement of the facts as I see them.
