I cannot for the life of me remember where I saw/read about this effect...
Basic plot is shuffled deck of cards and then the mentalist can predict how many cards will be left face up/face down, whether the cards will be even or odd. ect... Any help, just PM please or whatever. Thanx |

Simon Aronson and Aldo Colombini both have excellent work and routines along these lines ('Shufflebored' and 'Pre-Deck Ability', respectively).
I believe Aldo was the one who introduced the three phase prediction to the plot and the routine is pretty wonderful, IMHO. Best, JF

You might say reality is the result of complex negotiations between the observer and the observed. But that is simply a point of view.
Many Thanks Garrad |

If one really wants to study the workings of this method, and get behind the presentation to find the roots of the thinking, I would highly suggest reading the original "Shuffle-bored" routine.
This is a section in Mr. Aronson's book, "Bound to Please". As I understand it, Simon originally offered this section as a separate book itself explaining the routines, thinking and numerous applications, which all feature the "Cancellation Combination" (which is the name that Simon gave the methodology). All of the works described above all have roots in, or similarities to, this method. This book is well worth buying and reading. Sean |
