LOL "Slo-Mo-Bunny"- Music, lines and gags sure seem oddly familiar... except that the box looks like it could be the slo-mo-(insert large animal here)

I didn't even have to watch his video. I just saw that at the tender age of 15, he is a Master of Illusion. That was enough for me.

Honestly...(and I cannot believe I'm saying this), I thought he did a good job with it. I'd rather him idolize DC rather than CA or DB. He's a kid...he'll learn.
What I was actually impressed with was that at his young age, he was able to convey the emotional side of the story.

I am going to go the other way than everyone else here....to be clear, I have no affiliation whatsoever with him and I do think its lame to copy someones attire , complete script and presentation however I think he has potential....he is young and clearly doesn't know better. Honestly, he has presence on stage and has some presentation skill....he just needs to develop into his own character and come up with his own ideas.....and if he is serious about magic, he will learn that (I hope).
I agree with Lyle. I would rather him idolize DC than CA, much better example to learn from....key is, learn from - not copy. |

The little dude has something .. just has to find his own identity. I think his online description is a bit telling .. take a quick gander at that on youtube.
Nice enough kid .. especially if David wants to step down, he's got a replacement waiting in the wings. Steve |

He's a character actor allright... LOL
But he does seem very comfortable on stage, even if the stage direction (or lack thereof) sucks. Time will tell whether he is willing to develop himself as a magician. Maybe Copperfield should start charging franchising fees?

Arrogant, spoiled, no talent, and has all the makings of a common magic hack. Unfortunately this is the state of the magic arts. With all of that, his attire is less than casual. Obviously appeals to the teen set.
I used to love kids like that in my old shop, except I would have given him some stage direction. Perhaps if he broadens his scope of magic acts, he might break out of the Copperfield clone mode.

I'll agree that he did a good job of presenting but did anyone READ what was written on his youtube homepage!?!
"Ladies and Gentlemen...Blake Alexander. I am a very complicated person. The 14 years that I have been on this earth is like a Chapter in a novel. I do not like cheaters, liers, punks, bipolar people, or people that try to start stuff just to **** you off. I am now a master illusionist (magician) and magic is my life. I have been running my own business since the age of 11 and am 14 now. I perform over 200 shows a year for birthday parties, theaters, picnics, block parties, corporations, trade shows, and family events, so I suppose I'm pretty good. I have my own line of T-shirts, pens, beach balls, coffee mugs, gym bags, No.1 hands, letter openers, magnets, and pencils. I have been on T.V twice and am having another appearance in Sept. of 2008 on abc7. For those that think I am bragging...kiss my ass. I am simply letting people know who I am, and that I'm not just some ordinary punk 14 year old kid. If you wish to book a show or order any of the items listed please contact my office at (708) 828-9887 or feel free to E-mail me at lilgec007@aol.com that is also my s/n. I am now a sophomore at Marian Catholic. The people that I look up to the most are people that have succeeded in life and that have reached their dreams (Adam Flowers). I love my family, Trisha Resner, and Dia Bennett. Magic, music, pop, and penguins are my life. Be sure to check out my awsome illusion below. LOL. A Legend was born on August 2nd, 1993. Brittany, I wont give up." The kid may be good on stage but he has a lot of growing up to do. The above just shows his lack of professionalism. |

As a performer, and consider he is only a 14 years old kid, he does have a talent in stage performance, regardless who he is copying. To be honest, many stage performers do not perform as smooth as him.
As a person, you can say he has character, but I think he does have some serious attitude problem, which could lead to huge disaster in his future growth and career path. With good guidance, I am sure he can be a star of the future, but right now he needs bring himself down to the earth, and start listening to and working with people (which I don't think he does now). David Copperfield is surely very good in what he is doing, but without the helps and comments from the others, he will not be this successful today. |

He even uses the same lines David uses! I was thinking about this today and I totally understand what this kid is doing. His idol is obviously David Copperfield. When someone becomes so passionate about something and has an idol weather it is a magician like Copperfield, or someone who plays sports or does music when you are a kid at that age it is not really as much I want to be like him as I want to be him. I know of people who got into music and around the time of the beatles they would do beatles cover music and dress like them, etc. As they get older and mature it turns more into they have an inspiration but they develop their own show and what not.
But at that age they look up to someone like Copperfield and want to be just like them.
Thanks,

Chris, you are right. He is more a like "DC-want-be". I personally have no problem with people copying other great performers to begin with, since we all did at some point until we get better to have our own stuff. What I am afraid of is, when someone is having that much pride, he won't be able to see his weakness. And it doesn't sound like he will listen to comments and critics as well, since he thinks he is that good. This is can drag a future star down into the fire pit faster than anybody can see.

Yes, he is idolizing him and wants to get to his level. BUT, he needs to learn some respect for the one he admires. I am pretty sure David does not really care if he is a fan or not, he is performing his original work.
He comes off very cocky. Telling people to "kiss his ass" is not very professional. He is copying peoples unique performances and is so set on getting those right, his original still has a lot of work to be done. Take a look at his dove act. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2LxaGLL4......nel_page It is time to start idolizing Tony Clark. He needed to have someone working on his show with him from the start. I don't think there is going to be a change. Practice makes perfect. If you don't know what you are doing wrong, and keep doing it, that is what you will be doing every time.

I've actually met Mr. Copperfield Jr .. and yes, he's the same off-stage. Nice enough kid .. but, let's remember he's just a young boy. We don't really need to trash him here online .. that's just not right.
His bio does speak volumes .. that's what kind of alarming. I'm sure we need to look no further that his parents for much of the attitude. My dad taught me well ... Steve |

Steve, I am not trying to trash him here, well, at least not me. I love seeing people, especially the younger generation getting the love of magic, but I hate seeing any of them down falling and having too much pride will just drag them down faster.
I do hope he'll be turely successful. And I turely wish him will grow-up one day and learn what really needs to be a true master. |

And I am definately not wanting to trash anyone one here either. I for one get very upset when magicians young and old, experienced or not, ask a simple question on here and get bombarded with criticism......
Take care Bryan |
