I just bought this toy theremin for just over 20$ at a local shop! It's a cheapo, but it's sooo neat!

Now you can play the theme to the (original) "The Day the Earth Stood Still"!
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

Before the Moog Synthesizer there was the Theremin.

Honestly, not really... It's very bleepy bloopy sounding -like that old "Electronic Football" hand held game from the early 80's.

But it does sound like a theremin should --only not, by any mean, orchestral...

It's a hell of a lot of fun, though. And if I can find a way to output the sound to some standard coax cables, LOOK OUT FISHERMAN'S WHARF! Smile

I got it at a SF store called GIANT ROBOT. A great store that sells 'zines and other pop culture artifacts. As to who makes it, I couldn't tell you as every single word on the box, unit and instructions is in Japanese!

Theremin News Update!

It's produced by the japanese company Taito, if that helps...
