Clinically Depressed Poodle Mauls Former French President Chirac
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,481426,00.html Sad story, but what a headline.
Make America Great Again! - Trump in 2020 ... "We're a capitalistic society. I go into business, I don't make it, I go bankrupt. They're not going to bail me out. I've been on welfare and food stamps. Did anyone help me? No." - Craig T. Nelson, actor.

I don't even know how sad it is. The story says he was "mauled", his wife says he got bit. She doesn't say how many times, or where he was bitten. Although it says he was bitten badly and will recover in weeks. Weeks?
A Maltese poodle is a lap dog. Even a 74 year old Frenchman ought to be able to whip the thing across the room to avoid being "mauled". Strange story, but the headline is a classic.

How can you get 'mauled' by an armpit dog?! I mean really, come on now...

Man, you guys are the most un-sympathetic bunch I have ever known...
The Maltese Poodles are right up there with pit bulls when it comes to the damage they can do! Just take a look at this action photo at how aggressive they can be... |

Remember, he's French, he likely immediately submitted to the attack. I'm surprised he didn't start producing machinery for the dog.

According to newer reports, they've decided to put him to sleep. The dog, however, will be more fortunate.

Those two pictures have me laughing harder than I have in weeks. Thanks!
Somehow all of this makes me think of the killer rabbit in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. |

Does this remind anyone else of Jimmy Carters run-in with the swamp rabbit? I wonder if now has a fear of magicians producing them from hats.

Although Fox and the American blogs all use the word "maul", the original French reports say only that Chirac was bitten.
Sample headline: "Jacques Chirac mordu par son chien Sumo" Is someone still bitter over France not wanting to invade Iraq? John

Some British papers also used the word maul, for whatever that is worth.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnew......ITO=1490 Here is a picture, presumably taken moments (so I like to imagine, though the picture might have been taken days) before the mauling. Can you honestly say that little Sumo does not have the bloodlust in his coal black devil eyes?

How do we know the former PM didn't see German tourist and then attempted to tie the dog to a stick in order to wave it at them to make them feel welcome?
Actually I think in the revolution the French were more anti British than pro America. They can take back the statue of liberty if they want. |

R.I.P. Mr. Chirac. Eaten by a vicious poodle. I thought this day would never come.
