Muhammad Ali? A magician?
That's right -- the CHAMP is a prestidigitator. Check this out: http://cardstarlifestyle.com/?p=927 (cut and paste if not clickable) Enjoy. Asher

The first time I saw Gali Gali was a clip in the Egypt episode of Penn & Teller's Magic and Mystery Tour. Then they went and met one of his descendants, who fooled Teller with the cups and balls.
But Bill Palmer said Gali Gali killed the birds he used. That's a drag. Quote: On 2009-02-12 09:44, Lee Asher wrote:

Mr. Asher,
Thanks a ton for compiling these videos!! In any craft, it is always great to able to watch the true masters from the past in action. What a truly invaluable resource for anyone interested in magic!!

Today's featured performer (in my media section / vintage magic video blog) is Tom Noddy. His type of magic transcends language barriers.
As a young child, I was fortunate enough to see him perform live on stage. It was one of the most magical experiences of my life. To this day, I still speak about him, and continue to believe his work is an inspiration. He simply performs with some liquid soap and a cigarette. If you're not familiar with Tom Noddy (or even if you are), take a few minutes now to suspend your disbelief: http://www.magicvideoblog.com (cut and paste if not clickable) Enjoy! Asher PS. One of the best parts about maintaining this vintage magic video blog is the opportunity to leave 'quality breadcrumbs' to heroes of the past. If I've introduced you to Mr. Noddy, then my plan is working.

Awesome site. Thanks very much for your work.
I especially enjoyed Charlie Miller's sleight of hand skills and Tommy Wonder's performance at the F.I.S.M. 1988. |

I got absolutely lost in there! I did see a few amazing things - I probably could have spent an entire day there!! Magic is very rare in my area, and I hardly ever see a performance to help me gage what I should look like.
Is there any way to put your database of clips into a single-page list? Perhaps sorted by performer, or by genre of magic, or even two lists so we can have both sorts? It would be easier for someone with limited time to pick an area of interest or a specific entertainer and view those videos. Ed |

Hey Ed,
Thanks for posting. >Is there any way to put your database of clips into a single-page list? Perhaps sorted by performer, or by genre of magic, or even two lists so we can have both sorts? Sure. Everything is tagged properly, so you can search through any way you please. For instance, check this out: This is a list of every coin video that appears on the site: http://cardstarlifestyle.com/?cat=7 (cut and paste if not clickable) Here's a link to every performer that appears in the top slide area: http://cardstarlifestyle.com/?cat=20 (cut and paste if not clickable) If you'd like, click on the tag cloud on the lower right side of the blog. That will also allow you to search through things faster. Hope that helps. Thanks for spending time on the Magic Video Blog. Speak with you soon Ed. Cheers, Lee Asher
