Thank you for these videos! I was watching the Dr. Sawa video last night. It is one of the most original acts that I have ever seen a close up performer do. Original, and at the same time steeped in the traditions of close up magic.

I noticed that the blog hadn't had an update for a bit until today.
There's a new post with a Slydini video. You can learn so much about timing and misdirection from him. http://cardstarlifestyle.com/

Well this is interesting. I just heard an interesting connection between the recent video's posted at Lee's blog.
Eric Evans, a student of Cellini, saw the two updates and pointed this out to Lee. As many of you may know, Cellini was a student of Slydini, however, what I did not know, is that Slydini spent to time learning from Bamburg in Argentina. I'm not sure if it was with Theo, or David mind you, but an interesting coincidence none the less.

Oh, an interview with Derren Brown for a show with Richard Dawkins was just posted. Very interesting stuff, especially for any skeptics out there.

This is an amazing resource. I had watched the Tom Noddy video several times and shared with my math-inclined friends. When I was at the Oregon Country Fair I saw they had Tom Noddy and so of course I had to see it and meet the man. It was even more incredible live. What a refined artist! I saw him blow love bubbles the day after he got married at the fair. I had to include it on my blog: http://burkegiordano.wordpress.com/2009/......e-magic/
In addition to Syldini's performance I was also particularly moved by the Murat performance: http://burkegiordano.wordpress.com/2009/07/20/jerome-murat/ I think both of these performances are particularly interesting to lay people as well as magicians. Thank you so much for sharing these with us, Mr Asher, I can't enumerate how much inspiration I have gleaned from your video blog. |

This does need to be kept on top, perhaps we cold get it made in to a "sticky" topic? Whats the name of the guy who runs this place? Mike |

great perspective for a newbie like me
