Mindshrink:

I'm interested in any and all info, ideas, routines and modifications. Please send a note to me at: tom@thgouthcontrol.ca

I'll send you back a template with the format, fonts, etc., and if you'll format your routine as suggested, I'll be happy to have a look.

Cheers,

This is gonna be GREAT!

I'm already going thru withdrawals by not being able to check the updates on the OP Project thread anymore.

Entity, how many contributions are you aiming for and do you have a deadline for submissions?

Well, let's be ambitious and go for 50 submissions. I've already got 12.

As for a deadline, let's shoot for the end of February.

I appreciate the enthusiasm from those who have posted and/or sent me contributions!

I've been making significant progress over the last week with research for the history and evolution of nw's. I've also compiled a list of hundreds of published routines using nw's.

Just a reminder that, just as I did with The Open Prediction Project, I'm soliciting submissions of routines, ideas, etc. dealing with nw's, thumbw's, swami's... to be included in a collection that I hope will be a useful addition to the literature.

Also interested in photos of various versions that people own.

Send all such info to me at: tom@thoughtcontrol.ca

Cheers,

History section nearly completed.

So far, I have 14 submissions for this project. I would like many more.

Please contact me with ideas, tips, routines for this collection on the nail writer.

Thinking of calling this work: Thumb-thing Wicked.

Thoughts?

I am shocked, it's not like you to copy something from Derren Smile

Shakespear didn't mind stealing it from Derren, why should Tom. Smile
The basic tool for the manipulation of reality is the manipulation of words. If you can control the meaning of words, you can control the people who must use the words.

Kind of ironic considering you claim to be Derren

If it's anything like OP, it can be nothing but great -- count me in.

Plus, just starting to play with these goodies, it will be nice to know their history and get a feel for their growth -- and some additional routines to work with -- as they same practice doesn;t make perfect but it sure helps ;-)

David: I'm planning on including some tips for practicing with a nw that might make the learning curve less of an incline for those new to this tool.

Hi Tom,

How are things going with this project? Are you getting enough submissions?

Best,

I've all but finished writing the history part.

I would like to get many more submissions. So far I have around 15 very good submissions (including yours, Mick - Thanks!) but it would be great to have at least 30. These don't have to all be full routines. I'd welcome people's tips and ideas.

I'd also like to get these in the next week or so, as I have to go out of town soon for a short theater tour.

Thanks for bringing this up, Mick.

To you lurkers, NW stands for the North West side of the stage when a mentalist is performing.

Great idea, also, maybe you could give hints on how to make it fit properly without falling off. One of my biggest problems when using one is to get that perfect fit.

My research has discovered several tips in the literature regarding getting a better fit for the various types of nw's. I'll certainly address that in this collection.

A commercial TT version? Not really ideal though I suppose!

By the way, I'm also interested in sources for unique nw's and photos of collectable nw's for this upcoming collection. If any of you have knowledge of references that you think might be of interest to readers, please e-mail me at: tom@thoughtcontrol.ca

Many thanks,
