If you ever carry mints with you, then you can be set to perform at a moment's notice. This trick is the ultimate impromptu trick; http://www.adamgracemagic.com. Click on Death Breath.

I always carry several props with me, and look for opportunities to use them.
Several weeks ago I was walking through a local shopping mall, and there was a little booth set up that was selling scarves. As I was walking past it, I noticed the name of the product was "magic scarves." I guess you can turn them inside out and make a hat or something. I walked up to the lady sitting at the booth, and asked to see one of the scarves. She spent the next couple of minutes explaining to me the virtues of this scarf. When she was done, I took the scarf and made a bright red silk come out of the middle of it, and then vanish inside it again (ala TT). I said, "You're right -- these are magic scarves." I left the lady standing there, just staring at the scarf, with her jaw touching the floor! Brian |

HAHA
Great thinking of you of using the TT to fool the lady off... Symmatrix

I've done a lot of work on radio over the years and one of the things they teach is the best ad lib is a rehearsed one. That is why I'm with Blehr as far as taking things with you, that way you can do your truly impromptu stuff PLUS your prepared impromptu stuff as well, it is very strong.
I know this was slightly off topic but there you go....I wasn't prepared. Cheers Billy |

Is it ok for anyone to start a thread to advertise a product, as is being done here for "Death Mint"?

Lane 99- I hear Adam Grace has quit working and moved to Bermuda on the profits he made from the dozens of Death Breaths sold to Café members at $6.00 each. I hope he is stopped soon before this fine, commerce-free forum is ruined.

Just back from Bermuda...
I think the person that started this thread, later removed their post. I was the second poster. So, it looked like I started this topic but I don't think I did... which is why Steve must have allowed it to stay. I can't remeber since this happened two years ago... Best, Adam |

Try the new item called "image generator" from Tenyo for a truly impromptu effect.

I'm a bit confused. The "Death Breath" is "Truly Impromptu", yet the website says it comes complete with Secret Gaff.
Isn't a gaff something you have to carry with you? (I'm a dumb Swedish guy, this is an actual question) |

On the Café, "Impromptu" is generally interpreted to mean "looks like it was done on the spur of the moment without using special props, even though you might be cheating and using some kind of magical thingie you brought with you, anticipating that you might be called upon to do a little magic". I hope that helps.

The best example in mentalism would be a CT for example. Or any card trick that only requires a pack of cards with no setup... Anyway, I guess everyone has its own definition... |
