Oh boy, don't know what to say here. Talk about a close up stage illusion! True Origami can be done in close conditions. I think this is a little too close. |

Hmm. That table looked a lot more difficult to move (at 2:01) than it did before (at :37). Lol. Origami as a close-up effect. Hmm. Nah...That's Ok, I'll pass.

If the kids were any closer .. they would be in the box itself.

Don't think I would have done that in that situation, but that's just me.

Go ahead Timmy, go grab the mic stand...oh isn't that cute. Yeah, now go move his props. Zero crowd control...
Come on, Illusions at birthday parties is where it's all at. I do Modern Art at bdays all the time. I even invite the bday kid to sit on the table, it makes for a great photo.

No audience response! Was it even worth the load in and load out time?

In their culture, I believe, it is custom to be silent after performances...much the opposite of what we're used to.

Yes, but I did see around six people clap at the end...
I worked in Seoul Korea for a six month gig and that drove me nutts.... How they really didn't clap, but just tried to figure out your props the entire time.... It doesn't seem like they could really even enjoy a show with that sort of mind set..... Taylor

Looks like this was performed somewhere in the Philippines.

Yes it was...Mimmo is from the Philippines. At times, I find Asian audiences are like that...But it mostly depends on the type of crowd.

Ok, for gigs like that....you have to say you know what...let's leave the oragami at home....millions of other tricks he could have done...that's nuts!

I agree with kyle, asian audiences are more reserved than others.they normally,... normally applaud after you finish your routine. unlike in the U.S. the crowd tend to respond more especially when you do a certain move or something fancy.

They sit their silent and when they do speak, it's always Korean. My boss always tells me that he get's nothing but GOOD PRAISES of my act from his friends but it's never rackin in the moment to not get any response. It's just the culture!

Lyle, I know how you feel. You just can't help but wonder of you're really entertaining them whilst you're performing. Hahahah
