Teachers in magic, I believe that I don't have... Great Influences YES!, the nearby has been Reynold Alexander, an illusionist of Puerto Rico who showed to me the importance of the coherence and to do magic with sense. Vernon, Dingle, Burton, Goldstein, Acer, Gregory Wilson, Ammar, Rocco, Lovell and Kaufman have been big influences in my magic.

For me my intrest in Magic began when I first watched a Magician performing at a local church. I have no idea who he was, but I sure thought his show was great. After that I was able to go see Harry Blackstone Jr. as well as Stan Kramien. It was then I knew that Magic was something I really wanted to be involved in.

I am mostly self taught. Various influences over the past 40 years or so depending on my specific interest at the time include:
Larry Becker, Richard Osterlind, Annemann, Cordina, Richardson and Banacjeck for mentalism. Aronson, Braue, Lorayne and Hugard for cards. Ganson's books, Tarbell, Kort, Ammar and or course The Professor for general magic. Regards, Philip |
