Hi
I saw this at the South East Magic Convention yesterday. When it was demonstrated to me at first, it worked perfectly. However when I went back to the stand later in the day and asked the guy to demo it again (This time on my girlfriend) before I made the purchase, it didn't work. She was wearing a few rings on each hand a steel bracelet and a watch. I guess this is maybe why it didn't work? The guy said that the battery was running low, although I wasn't so sure, as in the morning he said the battery would last 4 - 6 months and I'm sure they put a new battery in for the convention to demo it all day. I didn't know for sure so kept my money until I hear a few more reviews on this. It was very impressive the first time though and the gimmick is tiny and will not be uncomfortable to wear, unlike some of the other versions which I have seen previously which do the same thing. If you can keep clear of girls wearing lots of hand fashion, you will be on to a winner with this one. Rich |

When performing this I tend to promise £100 if I don't guess the correct hand five or six times in a row. I haven't lost yet - but perhaps next time you should suggest this to whoever demonstrates it for you!
As for the other question - I know that with some other similar effects out there finger rings cause a problem. However, I designed the effect with this in mind and they don't affect it. If you have any other questions I'll be around (virtually) to try and answer them. And for any of you that are in the UK, I'll also be at the Blackpool event in a few weeks and you're welcome to ask me to demo it. I'll even promise to give you the effect for free if it doesn't work flawlessly! Until then, I'd love to hear from you - hopefully there'll be some reviews on here soon from people who have the effect and can give you an idea of how they feel about it. Hugo |

I'll come and see you at Blackpool. be warned though, I will be wearing as many rings, watches and bracelets as I can find in order to claim my freebie!
All the best, Matt |

Does this work with any coin?
You might say reality is the result of complex negotiations between the observer and the observed. But that is simply a point of view.
Many Thanks Garrad |

I've used this reliably quite a few times. When I first bought it, it was going off unexpectedly, but when I took it back to the shop, they showed me how you can adjust the sensitivity. I spent about 10 minutes calibrating it and it's been perfect ever since.
As for the battery running low... mine hasn't yet, but then I'm not performing it all day at a convention. Maybe when he said 6 months he meant of using it in shows? Who knows, but I'm happy with the purchase and wouldn't pass it up for a chance power failure! I understand they will be at Blackpool with it, so anyone in doubt can always ask to see it demonstrated there...

Garrad - the effect uses a UK pound coin, although we're in the process of making a version for use in the US.
Without revealing too much - you might want to practice your switches. The device is so sensitive that it does require calibrating (as Mustang pointed out) but this should only take a few minutes. After that there's no need to do it again. |

I have now seen this product demonstrated live. It worked 100%. I am SERIOUSLY interested in buying. It is much better than similar types of product e.g. child's play, relic etc. It's a very small device in comparison. Rings and bracelets won't effect it adversly so Matthew Wright, don't even bother trying to outfox Hugo!

Is it possible Hugo for an international version. Being from down under would I have to send you our coins. The thing about the relic is it plays for any country.

OK, so I bought me one today. I've been using things other than coins without any problem.

Think this is top of my blackpool list!
Can anyone tell where the device is placed, ie wrist pocket ring?? If this give away too much then no probs just would like to know that's all, childs play is a no no for me due to the style of the watch, also don't like the hook up on a UFO type device, really don't really do big hook ups! I'd like to hear more about that as well!

It's very simple and very flexible in terms of where it can be placed. The device comes with an elasticated wrist strap but that being said this thing is small enough to be finger palmed!
What we are seeing here is no longer mere trickery.
