Has anyone ever seen this performed? A guy I saw one time in Cal. performed for me. Afterwards, he told me that he can hold a coin on the tip of his middle finger on his right hand, and vanish it by bring it up in to classic Palm in the same hand.
He said he called it the Slap Palm Vanish. I mean it was a great vanish- gone in a blink of an eye. He can use pennies, dimes, half dollars- anything. Understand what I am trying to describe? It was like doing a shuddle pass, but he just slapped it up in to him palm as his hands turned over. It was wild. He also could palm a coin with his hand, totally flat on a table, and he had me hit the back of his hand and the coin didn't fall. Not an effect, just pretty cool to see. Just wondering.

It sounds like what I would call - "quickly classic palming a coin as your hand turns over" - am I missing something?

I guess I didn't describe it all that well.
I guess you could call it that. But couldn't you call a DL just picking up 2 cards at once. Is'nt that the same thing? Every sleight is plain until it is named?? Just hard to describe I guess

Putting a coin into classic palm during a false transfer is a very common move. You can find it in Bobo's. Its called in various places a classic palm vanish or simple coin pass, etc. Usually a coin is on the fingertips before it is pressed into classic palm. If you have a good classic palm you can literally slam it into classic palm in a split second.

I would think that spectator would want to see both hands palm UP after the vanish. If it was in classic, you couldn't do this.

J.N. Hofzinser suggested this as a way to effect the transformation of a coin (using a shell Thaler) in 1847. In describing the move, he refers to the motion of quickly conveying the coin from the tip of the middle finger tothe classic palm as palming the coin "in the usual way."
