Ramsay's an equal opportunity shouter. Big, small, man or woman. It's the way a lot of people in hospitality speak in the UK - like it or not. To some it does not even register as 'swearing' any more, it's just a adjectival tic, like a valley girl's "like". There's a lot of shouting that goes on in a kitchen - even if nobody has stuffed anything up.
I wouldn't want to work for him, but having tasted his food once, I don't really care if he calls a chef de partie a &*&% &^^^^#$#% (^%####, as long as I get my dinner

I think he's probably picked up some of his bad habits from his old house keeper Mrs Doyle :

Stoney,
He does a show everyone who is in any kind of business, including magic, should watch. He goes into a struggling restaurant, looks the business over, gives them an analysis of whats wrong and comes up with a plan to fix things, which they then put into action - all in a few days. I know behind the scenes there are probably consultants galore coming up with the problems and solutions but it's good to theoretically run his eye over your own business and see what he would swear about it he was looking at it. Behind the entertainment, the show provides great business advice AND he had Dee Schneider on one epidode! Destiny |

I have seen him on a show where he goes into english restaurants/inns and tells them, in a peaceful manner how they can improve. His show here (the us), he is a manic.

Yeah kcg5,
There's quite a difference between the US and UK version of Kitchen Nightmares. The UK version concentrates a deal more on the food. There's a lot of discussion on foodies forums about people who loved the show on BBC America but didn't care for the US version at all.

Magic is doing improbable things with odd items that, under normal circumstances, would be unnessecary and quite often undesirable.
