Just watched Disc 5. There is an improvement.
Transcendental Bar Bet: didn't like it. The method is clever but the end result is poor (10H turns into the 8H, and I'm still trying to figure out what are those 2 pieces of paper for?) Extraordinary Proof: Excellent. Practical. Straight forward. This force was worth the price of the DVD for me. The presentation (Bro's) is also very good. This is the first time I see an effect by Jerard and I want to see more from him. Tensegrity: WOW. I've watched it with a fellow magi and we were both gasping for air. A thing of beauty. TV stuff. Reswindled: A step backward from the original Reset. The kicker ending doesn't do much beside confusing. In other words too much happens. I prefer Greg Wilson's Reset handling. Fizzmaster (easter egg) - Wayne knows what he's doing. I suggest this kid to release a DVD of presentations of his for known effects. Again, there should have been at least 2 more effects on this DVD. After watching 3 Discs I'm sure about it: This set should have been 6 Discs instead of 9 (6 effects per Disc). What would have been different having 6 effects per dvd on 6 dvs instead of 4-5 effects per dvd on 9 dvds?
Are you concerned about environment poisoning from DVD factories? Dave |

Bro did a wonderful job performing my effect "Extraordinary Proof" I was working on a TV show at the time of filming and was unable to perform this peice. If you watch the audiences reaction, they believe its a real happening... one lady actually says to Bro " Never in my life did I think I would meet someone like you..." This is a great response for a "trick" lol It was a pleasure to be a part of PH project. I am glad you find the value in my work. best, Gerard

The best part during Tensegrity was "Criss who? Never heard of him...." I giggled.

The force for Extraordinary Proof is ingenious.

To address the number of discs issues: 6 discs should cost 200$ or even less. That's all.
And sorry for misspelling your name Gerard. |

I first want to say that I loved Extraordinary Proof. That is a fantastic presentation for a simple force. I have performed this now about ten times, however, and have cut out the part where a card is openly removed and placed into the deck. I think this confuses the presentation.
You have to decide whether this is a coincidence effect based upon the spectator intuitively stopping at your "dream card" or it is one in which you are influencing the spectator to stop at a particular card. If it is the latter, then the "dream card" business is an unnecessary distraction. It simply becomes your motivation for choosing the particular card to force on the spectator. It also, however, telegraphs the ending and makes them more likely to focus on the card they stopped at, which could blow the effect. Bro even attempts to minimize the act of card placement after he performs it, which suggested to me that it would be better if it were not done at all. Since cutting this out, my reactions have definitely been stronger. It allows you to be completely hands off and keeps the spectator guessing until the very end. Unlike in the "placed card" scenario, they won't have any idea where you're going until you get there, which is very helpful in selling the force. Also, it has led people afterwards to talk about how magical dreams are and how we can share connections through our dreams rather than simply wondering what I did to cause them to stop at a particular spot. This also allows the spectator to be the star, since they have found your card through their own intuition rather than simply having been your pawn through your masterful use of psychological techniques. Sometimes, it is good to step back and allow the spectator some of the glory. |

I love extraordinary proof but has anyone been caught with the force? I preformed this three times at a restaurant and the last person caught it immediately. They were still impressed by the ending but for some reason they realized what was going on. Perhaps it was my presentation.

I was caught once, which is what motivated me to change the presentation. I have not been caught since.

Hi Connman.., make sure your not presenting it as " deal and stop on any card... "
as they will be watching that card like a hawk ! place no words or intention on ANY card, "just deal through until you feel like you have dealt enough cards " watch the effect a few times and copy it word for word, beat for beat...perform it this way until you get the exact feel for it, then you can deviate and do your own style/additions etc... but once the base of the effect is mastered, you will be golden. please understand WHY "Extraordinary proof" works so effectively, there are some very sound tatics I go over in the explination, I always reccomend watching it with a pen and paper in hand and jot down key points... then review them and think about those points, and you will see why I structure every effect a certain way... To thsoe interested: This structre/presentational technique is called "The Pro-Cess" I will be relesing an entire dvd titled "The Pro-Cess" in the next few weeks. Thanks Robert, I am thrilled you are using this effect. best Andrew Gerard
Well then...
