I think Clifford already posted this should be looked at by bizarrists...
But I just want to concur after watching all 9 DVDs and all the bonuses... This is one of the best purchases I've made - period - and a lot of the material is easily converted into the darkest bizarrist presentations with just a little thought.... $300 seems steep until you realize what the heck is included.... Well, just wanted to mention it.

WOW, I just looked at some of the effects, You are correct that this would be great for the bizarrists and story teller!

Yessir! I am even more thrilled with the set now. And they really make you work for those extras! Sheesh!
My writeup is here (hard to find because of my clever title!): http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......rum=14&1 Even upon finishing the first disk, I took one of the effects and used some of the hints and twisted it and changed the ending and created an impossible, killer piece that I am going to use to fry my local group. I'll see how it plays next month. The other disks are equally as great - though I think it is good to take one disk at a time and mull it over lest something be lost in the sheer volume.

Can you give me an idea which tricks you had in mind for this mystical angle?

Well, for example, disc one- one Big Tiny - imagine casting it in the presentation of DNA - babble about evolution versus Higher Power Design... have the person see versions of themselves created in their image.... really... think about it.
And LVL$... on disc 2... I won't say much more than think about the $5 that ends up in their pocket... but now, imagine sinister cards and a dark IOU note.... seriously... When you start looking at these bits... they are easily seen as bones for any flesh you want to add... Plus, you get all sorts of props to go with the discs.... and the coolest box. Heck, I'm dusting off my AoA trilogy and looking thru them again. Guess it shows the neat way DVD and book learning together really can be inspirational. Oh yeah, for the weak of heart, you can still do Twilight Angels and the like Hehehe... And just having fun bits like Tubular ready to go at anytime etc. just is darn fun. So, which effects (not tricks!!!) can have a mystical angle? All.... its all in how you present any. And Clifford - yup, those Easter Eggs are hell to find...! But fun! So, you will find Paul Harris in action - 20 years younger... in some places...

I think what sets this set apart is:
1) Paul Harris really is an evil genius and sees things visually in a way that is astonishing. He notices things about the physical nature of things and muddles around with it until he finds a way to use it to his advantage. Take card boxes for example - he probably understands more about card boxes than anyone in magic, because for most magicians, it's just a card box. He can do freakin' miracles with a card box. He notices all sorts of things - things about cards and there is even something with leaves - a great restoration of a torn leaf in someone's hands which is really quite wonderful and will have people thinking you're the reincarnation of Buddah or something. 2) They took a great deal of care to present these things with atmosphere and detailed explanation. It is not like a one trick elusionist DVD, they present quite a bit of material on each item. Paul lets other people shine on this DVD - he will present some thoughts and variations. Something about how they designed the set and present it in a collaborate manner is very stimulating creatively.

I hope to get a set sometime in the near future. A friend of mine here in the Jackson, MS area, Steve Haynes, has a little something on them. I hope these gets his name out and about more in the magic community. When I talked to him two weeks ago, he was looking forward to receiving his dvd's. Sounds like a great set of dvd's.
