Just saw Magic Unlimited perform at Blackpool Magic Convention.....
http://www.magicunlimited.info Many rip-offs!!! Shocking!!! Magic Unlimited called one The "elevated sub-truck", but its was John Taylor's Suspended Animation Illusion which has been licensed to Bill Smith's Magic Ventures. With another 3 other illusions that were rip-offs, so sad..... Rafael, Mist, The Twins, David Penn and others tried to point out this to Magic Unlimted but the answer they got was "we just don't care!" from Magic Unlimited! Acts like Magic Unlimited should not grace any stage in the world .... |

But according to their own info, they are "dynamical"! (Is that even a word?)

Boy, do I agree with you Stanyon! To have such disregard for fellow magicians is unforgiveable!

Looks like they have a great show. But to have a great show is to care for the creators and the lack of it is just sad.

What a shame that the chiefs of "Blackpool Magic Convention" did invite them...

Just for interest sake, I see the twins perform a version of DC's death saw illusion. Is this a authorised version?
Anyway back to the topic, I think magic unlimited are good performers with a lot of potential, too bad they use rip offs! Any reasons for this, or do they just not care? |

Mara is a babe. I haven't been able to determine if she is involved in legit or non-legit illusions, because I am distracted.

They do some blatant rip offs.
Mara pretty much copied Tina Lenerts signature piece where she is the janitor.

So they do perform it? as you have a double negative in that sentance (don't NOT) so that means they do.
And they did used to do a version of it as they used to have photos on their website of the 2 half bodies on the table, but ive looked through the website and now cant find it. I don't know if they still do this illusion or if it was just a promo shot. |

Sorry you have your facts wrong.....
They have never used or performed DC Death Saw! Im a big fan and I should know.... You might be thinking of a Bill Smith illusion? By the way The Twins don't do forums and now sadly Mark Parker has left them too! But Magic Unlimited are members here. So Magic Unlimited what are your thoughts on John Taylor's Suspended Animation Illusion??? |

I see at Twins DC saw too.I attach photo. And I think every illusionist use rip-off,especially in begin of career, and in Europe or Asia...But I really not understand why some of magicians buy rip-oof in USA???In US show-business very well develop, the salary of magician so good too,you have lot of information, because english - your native language, many perfect authirised builders, you can not pay SO BIG MONEY for the shipping in other countris(add customs expenditure, and toll ,in Ukraine about 50%of illusion price, and bribes...)So I no understand why some of magicians in US bay rip-off and bla-bla-bla... I see hundreds of examples in USA. Serg.

I saw the show at Blackpool shame they use ripp offs, their act is a good idea how would they like it if someone started up an act like theirs?
Sorry davemajor and Swann101 the twins do not use rip offs and have never used a death saw, the illusion you are talking about is a sawing in half but nothing like the DC death saw it was their own idea and was used once in a show. I guess you could alway email them and perhaps get the facts! JA |

Serg.....I think you need to remove the photo link as this is a copyrighted photo? Can you not link it from the twins web site with their URL address. You don't want to break any copyright do you!
I CAN NOT see a death saw in that photo..no stepped table, boxes that rise up and down, leg etc! I think you are reading to much into the photo. I think this is called The Z table and like Jamie Allen said it was the twins own idea using the Z table idea and its performance! Hope that clears this up! bp |

Ok now just asking because now I'm curious. What would be the name of the illusion shown here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8n4MTdvMqM at 0:57? Is this something they created? I would be interested in hearing the history behind this. anyone here know? Or should we stop all this and go directly to the source.
Thanks Lucas |
