Jeff McBride has a routine that works out of a box. I recently got to look inside, and he showed me that everything is organized, and ready to go at anytime. Is anyone else doing something like this? If so, what type of box do you use?

I don't do stage. My friend however bought a wood chest at Albertson's for $20 and spent a day with his tools and his chest. He just did some work on the interior so he could put things in certain places. He now uses it in his stage act out on a stand. He puts produced birds in it, etc.

I've never seen Norm Nielsen's act. What do you mean by a net?

Dan Harlan has a video set called "Pack Small, Play Big" and he uses the same idea of doing a complete show out of a road case or a briefcase. The idea of how to organize the case and set up a 'ditch bag' is worth the price of one of the tapes! I'd suggest the 'All-Purpose Show' - it has some good tricks in it as well as the ideas on prop management.
