I know people have had trouble with the potassium permanganate/glycerine (aka daemon's dirt) method. I have a way of accomplishing a similar effect reliably, with a 60-90 second delay. I don't want to post this in an open forum, so if you PM or email me I'll share with you.
P.S. it isn't potassium chlorate and sulphuric acid ... both of those chems are WAY too nasty.

Thanks for the PM. That is a very interesting idea. I have been using squirting nickels for secretly adding liquids.
