I won't be a first-nighter, but it's on my 'must see' list.

Waiting for the DVD release, unless reviewers I trust say it's incredible. So far, it's not been promising.

How so? The clips I've seen looked pretty good.

I'm excited to see this movie, so I am hoping they did a really excellent job.

It's the reviews I've been reading that haven't been promising. Clips... meh.

I have misgivings about going to see it. Whether they try to cram it all in or cut a bunch out, I fear it won't do justice to the original series.

I'll be there to see it, free of judgements of reviewers or other fears.

I don't know if you saw the other Watchmen thread from a few weeks back, but I mentioned in there that the Director's Cut is supposed to be 3 hours and 10 minutes! You may want to just wait until that is out on DVD.

I can't remember anticipating a movie as much as I do this one. I have some pretty high expectations of it but I don't think I will be disappointed.

I don't know why everyone is concerned this won't be a great movie/true to the graphic novel!
Just look at this preview of the scene where Dr. Manhattan attacks the Comedian:

I saw it and loved it. I am a huge fan of the graphic novel and have been waiting 20 years for it. I can see why it may not appeal to everyone though. But I cant wait for the DVD.
