Is that a Nirobi (sp) goat? I love goats, ever since I was a kid.

The father is a Nubian and the mother is an Alpine. Nubians are the ones with the floppy ears while Alpines have the airplane ears that stick straight out.

Nubian...I got the N right.

I took my wife and her friend to a goat festival. The total number of non goat owners that attended was three and they were sure happy to see us. My wife looks around and says "you gotta be kidding me" and storms out. It was rather noticable since we were the entire audience.

(Neither of which I could have done.)

I like that Meg chick from Hercules. Not that I ever watch Disney movies... :O
I guess Sally Ragdoll doesn't count since Disney took their name off of that picture after they saw the final cut.

Sally is sold at Disneyland. The picture itself becomes part of the Haunted Mansion ride in a complete Nightmare before Christmas do-over every October. The VHS/DVD is sold in all the parks. There is a Nigntmare/Christmas store at Diz and there are counteless items for sale including Jack and Sally clothes etc. The film is one of the most heavily promoted at the parks.

Took thier name off?

In the initial marketing, it was supposed to be called "Walt Disney's Nightmare Before Christmas." When they saw the final cut they changed all of the packaging to "Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas."
That doesn't mean that when it was successful, despite their best efforts, they wouldn't cash in on it anyway.
They retained the rights, the film became a cult classic, and Disney profited.
It's all in the "Making of" book, and I believe it's in the DVD special features too.

In fact, it was only after the film had been out for a while and gained a large cult following that Disney really merchandized the snot out of it, to the point that a film that used to be one of my favorites I am now just sick of.

I think Esmerelda would be an awesome name for a goat.

Here you go:
"After all, when the studio first bowed the picture in 1993, Nightmare was a bit of an ugly stepchild as far as the Mouse House was concerned. So non-Disney was its stop-motion animated ghouls and goblins that the studio didn't even see fit to put its name on the release; rather, they distributed it under their sub-banner Touchstone Pictures. But that wasn't the first time Disney took the low road with the project, it turns out."

"They never felt [Nightmare] was a Disney film; they put it out as a Touchstone film rather than Disney," says Selick. "Their biggest fear, and why it was kind of a stepchild project, was they were afraid of their core audience hating the film and not coming, when in fact once kids found out about it, it connected with them as well as Tim's regular fan base. But it was very much, 'We don't have high expectations. It's kind of too dark and too scary.' And that's utterly wrong. It wasn't too dark, too scary. Kids love to get scared. In fact, I don't think it's too scary at all. Even little, little kids, as young as three, a lot of them love that film and respond well to it."

You can also look in the "Making of The Nightmare Before Christmas" book if you still don't believe me.

How about naming your goat "Touchstone?"
I think if you have three goats, you should name them Lock, Shock, and Barrell.
