So far I have Orangutans (32" & 24"), 24" Chimp, 32" Gorilla, Dodo Bird, Frog, MDB, and RMDB.
Nosretep, about the slippery, Ax sell inner liner for that matter, but don't glue it to the latex. Or use a cotton hand glove instead. |

Nostretep... The cotton glove may be a better approach for your wife. I'm surprised the headliner did not take care of it since it's fabric lined and foam. Try it, if you don't think it's the way to go we can glue a lining in it for her. Not a problem.

Speaking of vinyl figures, I have your chimpanzee, Ax.
As you know, because of the material used, the mouth is more difficult to manipulate. What would you recommend as a work-around to this? I thought of cutting the back of the mouth and reattaching with felt. Perhaps this would add some greater flex. What are your thoughts, Ax? Thanks, Tod

I love all of Axtell's puppets! I have the remote controlled drawing board which always gets an amazing response and have just started using my hands free magic chimp which is also just amazing. I can't recommend these products enough.

Four Axtell puppets arrived today
Granny...Bongo...Donut and my instant favorite, Fred the fried chicken. All four puppets look fantastic...but I instantly fell in love with the fried chicken...he is so cool. The headstick makes the manipulation of the head very funny. I just wish it has a lever rather than a ring to operate the mouth but it's really not a problem. I'm confident this puppet can be effective in both kidshows and adult shows. Great work Ax!!!

I have to say this...the Axtell Fried Chicken is a charmer...works well for kidshows and at the same time, it gets good reaction from the adults. I tried it in 3 school shows...4 kiddie birthday parties...and tomorrow, I'll try it out in an adult show.
It works quite well with the egg laying gag as performed by both Johnny Main and Bill Boley.

I used Goshman eggs for awhile with my bird puppets, but had a problem with them losing their white color. They turned a sort of yucky yellow, not very egg like ! Also, they tend to not spring back into shape very fast after a short time of use.
I found a new egg this summer, made in Argentina, and marketed by TwisterMagic.com out of Miami. It springs back to shape FAST, which made it much easier to use for quick effects. Plus, after four months of use, it is still a brilliant white color. I should add that I got one when they first came out, and it arrived with a crack in the latex. TwisterMagic sent me a replacement really quickly. I also use their latex oranges and lemons. :) Mark
