Hello. For anyone interested, we have just posted a picture of a new version of the Water Torture Cell which (to our knowledge) has never been created before. This is a replica of a artists rendition of Houdini's WTC that he used for publicity posters.
Here is a link to the poster we tried to replicate: http://www.nnmagic.com/posters_magicrepros/fi/00000033.htm Here is a link to our picture: http://www.richardsherrysmagic.com/produ......apes.php Any positive or negative feedback is welcome! Cheers Dayle

I suggest that everyone else looking at the picture, scrolls down the page and looks at the other astounding escape equipment that you produce. I had no idea you had such a variety, and so beatifully built. You must be so proud. Thanks fot sharing it with us. Mick |

If they work half as good as they look,,,then you are tops with me.
They don`t look gimmickey or showbizzy,,,just the "authentic" look that any ea would die for. Well done, wish equipment like this had been around in my hayday. Ken. |

Looks great, better yet looks authentic. As Mick said, the poster come to life. All you need now is a picture of some monster lowering you in by your ankles.
Good job.

Beautiful work on the cell Richard. Looks like you did a great job bringing the poster to life. I can see this becoming a collectors piece. Do you have an idea of the total weight? Also what dimensions are we looking at?

This would have one hell of an impact on the minds of the audience members; all that steel strap and the decorative padlocks. You hit the poster cell dead-on; very impressive!

Hello Gentlemen. Thank you everyone for all the kind words.
I have never enjoyed building a project as much as I enjoyed building this WTC. We will put together a performance video of this WTC in action as soon as possible. This WTC takes 61 locks so Mick, I will contact you next time for a quote! Kevin, I'm not sure of the weight yet but the combined weight of the locks alone probably weigh more than your Cell empty. LOL Thanks again! Richard |

Again, absolutely gorgeous.
I wonder how long it takes to lock 61 locks? I guess we'll see when the video is up. I would be happy to put on my stilts and some monster costume to recreate the other poster |

I don't think you actually have to lock the full 61 locks to perform the effect; I believe most are 'already on' as eyewash.
Have I got that right, Richard?

Had I the money, I'd buy one just for the looks, wether or not I ever performed it wouldn't matter! It'd just be awesome in my room.....
