I was just trying to find out more information about a school shooting in Germany today, and ran into another report that there was a mass shooting in Alabama.
I'm teary eyed. What in the hell is wrong? The world is sick. |

The world IS a crazy place. All those families suffering because one person
decided to go bananas. Such a waste... |

Not just one. Two: one in the States, one here in Germany, within hours of each other.

Yeah I was referring to both actually.
I was taken aback to hear about both of them this morning. Part of my job includes media monitoring so the TV's are on all day playing the news. When events like this occur I spend a good portion of the day hearing about it. |

Not to mention the countless other shootings that go unreported all around the world...
Sad state we are in now when people can go on a killing spree on different sides of the globe at the same time. Rest In Peace to the victims.

Nothing new here. there's been killing sprees since Cain slew Able -- Killing one quarter of the worlds population in a single blow.
We've only become more efficient at offing folk in these modern times. Technology allows for an untrained and unskilled individual to take out far more innocent folk these days. Still sad though.

No. It just feels more so because we can't live in ignorant bliss. This is sad. It has always been sad but now we are all aware of it. That might be a good thing. Gwyd |

I agree that this sickness is nothing new.
Still upsets me. |

It is a very upsetting day. May some kind of comfort one day come to loved ones.

Yeah only mass shootings end up on the national news. Here in Oklahoma last week a 12 year old shot and killed his mom. It is sick to think that this is what people want to see on T.V. I do not watch the news anymore. And not much television in general. I will just stick to reading the neighbors paper.

The real question is, what ever happened to just killing yourself?
Now days people think they have to kill others before they kill themselves. Geez... just do yourself in and leave others out of your wreck of a life. Randi |

Irosall, what's the point of the "fame"? "Infamy" actually...
If you are dead you are not around to "savour" it, are you? I say just don't hurt others, do what you like with yourself...

That's true. What's "15 minutes of Fame" when you're dead?
That's where the sickness comes in. The whole idea of "I'm taking out as many people with me as possible" is truly disturbed. And maybe not new or more common these days. But then again, maybe it is. |
