Wow- I just went to the fcm.org site, then to "members only", then to The Christian Conjurer. GREAT RESOURCE- a zillion issues of the Conjurer there. I went to the October, 1971, issue, for example, and saw on page 12 a picture of me when I was still in high school and working for John de Vries (also pictured). This was taken at the New York annual FCM convention. The picture of me was obviously fake- a composite of my routine- it shows me producing a cheese grater (for an even "greater" illusion), my final goofy The End silk, and (if you can see it) a white silk that appeared on a tiny gallows (for my amazing silk "dying" effect as an inside gag for magicians). Pretty sick, was funny at the time. Lots of great Gospel magic routines in this resource, I might have to get the disk (only $30, very reasonable). It was a great convention!

Neat to see there as well issue #1 from 1953 of The Christian Conjurer. In the Octboer, 1971 photo of John de Vries (on page 12) referenced above (he was FCM VP at the time, later Pres), I am holding some kind of prop for John (I am the one in the funky striped pants and long hair-when I was thin back then)- can't make out what it is. But behind John on the stage are some of his best creations- the Abbott's Neon Tube illusion (which he designed, Abbott's later sold them), his unique vanishing bird cage where the "bars" were actually painted straws that folded upward, and one of his many large production boxes. John had a large cargo van of props for each program, most of it uniquely made items that he designed or had made up. His produced silks had verses painted on them many times. There is a photograch there also of Bill Baker looking energized for sure! Memories...

You'll find some of my submissions in the 80's I think.

I may end up using up some paper for sure! After I pushed the print button on the October, 1971, issue of The Christian Conjurer, I received hot off my printer The Christian Conjurer in what appeared to be actual size. Very nice. I can't even imagine now how many hundreds if not thousands of Gospel routines are now available. Wow!

Yes, I was looking as well and just have to learn to use the search engine a little better, but it will be an absolutely fantastic resource for giving ideas, etc.
The magic is not in our sleights and illusions, but instead in our ability to bring love and joy.

Mike Stenberg has done a great job getting all thes uploaded. He also is offering a CD with all these on them. He talks about it in Editor's Corner of the March/April 2009 issue. You should check it out.

I too have found lots of great information as I've been through all the issues that have been put up. Everyone should take advantage of this.

You are not missing anything. Mike Stenberg does not have all the Conjurers that were printed. I'm not sure if he has digital copies of all the ones he does have.

If you know of anyone with copies that are not posted they could scan them to a digital file and send it to Mike to be uploaded.

I have a copy of the CD now with the 350 plus magazines on it...(more than on the webpage)...it is certainly worth far more than the $30 he is asking for it. And it is searchable. I'm sure this will be talked up at the FCM convention. That is the best way to have the archive...
