I am way up in Northern Michigan and we have a TON of Festivals to pitch at during the summer months. My question is about the fuzzy worm. I bought 2 of these things from a drug store recently for 2/5.00 for the kids. Are these the same worms? The "IT" that people on here talk about for the pitch "Worms" seems to be different than what I got at the store.. Now I have several differnt ITRs and such..... but I guess I am confussed. To me regular IT would be over kill for this???? I know this is all about GTFM but seems to me that if I sold this with "good IT" the kiddies would break it in minutes ....no wait.... seconds.. My kids killed the store bought stuff in a little over an hour....Please help me out ....
Thanks guys |

Most worms come packed with very thin clear nylon fishing leader. This is really the best stuff for kids -- they would destroy regular IT in less than 5 seconds, as you said.
But for pitching the worms, where you often have little or no control over light sources, in my experience IT is essential for demos. The best stuff I have found is sold by James George at Sorcery Shop, click HERE to view. This is Kevlar IT, 40 feet for $15, enough for a lifetime of demos. It's very strong, only slightly thicker than woolly nylon, and it's nice and slick for running through and over your hands. What I tell people in the instructions I hand out, is to learn and practice the moves with the nylon line, which is very durable, and OK if you stay out of direct sunlight and strong fluorescent light. But once they get the moves down, they can replace the line with a thin black thread if they like. IT is something that's really only for magicians, IMHO. SETH

No argument here. Your starting point is the Svengali Pitch DVD. I'll let Don expand on this...
