Performed lastnight, tell me what you think. At the beginning of the show ( not shown here) I reference the fact that I'm wearing a blue suite, and my girlfriend decided to wear Red. I guess he is Colorblind. Keep that in mind. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tq-nPMac6Lk

Few things...
- Try not to turn your back to the audience. - Empower the person up there helping you and I know its hard but try not to diss on him so much. Look at how Kevin James interacts with his audience members. - Get a different song. Its been done many times and this song isn't you. Find a song that goes PERFECTLY with what you're doing. The song has to hit you as if it was made for you to perform to. If you can get one with no lyrics it would be be better IMO. It puts more focus on you. The music then becomes a warm blanket to keep them entranced rather than having the audience dancing along and asking their boyfriends/girlfriends "Hey who sings this song?". Music is the 2nd most important thing when you're performing. If you can find a song then build an act around it...that would be ideal. [When I'm doing my youtube videos for example, the song HAS to fit with what I'm delivering. My clip "Card Magic 3" had a song but I took it off because it didn't flow with the tempo of the video and the hits. I had also had a deadline because every Jan 10th I come out with a new "Card Magic" clip. I worked on that project from 2 in the afternoon to 8:30 in the morning with 3 bathroom breaks, a lot of coke (soda), and not a wink of sleep. I was done with the clip at 5 am but I couldn't find a song...So finally I went into my car in defeat to relax. When I realized I have so many cds. So I found one that fit PERFECTLY. There was much rejoice. Card Magic 3 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7UKTQZf5Uc ] - I know you did a suit change, and that's awesome by the way. I loved that touch. But from the time that it took her to get all the locks unlocked the audience thinks "Ok, he had plenty of time to change." So try and find a quicker change or you might lose the interest of your audience. The payoff won't be as big. - At the end when you give him his watch back...I think it would hit harder if you let him start walking back to his seat as you call his name. Its that last punch and its nice to give a little bit of time to let your transposition sink in. Other than that, you have good stage presence and you look confident up there. Good work man. I hope this helped. Persist. Chris Brown

Chris,
Thank you for your output. The reason I put this video on here is to hear what others had to say and to help me improve this trick. What I'm about to say is not and excuse for any of your responses. To begin with, the song. I began this trick trying to find the perfect song. I new I didn't want anything name stream, nothing with lyrics. I looked, and I looked and I looked. I asked magicians to help me, and all I found were corny magic songs. I went onto a few sites specifically made for artist to post there own songs. Still couldn't find it. I new this Elvis song, it was upbeat and had the right mood. If you watch we even timed the change to a specific point. If you are able to help me find something that is as upbeat and not as mainstream, I will use it. I'm just having a hard time finding one myself. The suite change. Here is the situation. I was fortunate enough to perform this exact show two nights in a row. The video you are seeing is the first night (sadly enough due to a virus I’m having a hard time posting the second night). We begin the trick as you see. I pull the curtain up and something goes wrong( I know you can't see it, I tried to cover it as good as I could). The box completely breaks. We went through the change and I am inside the box. If you watch her mouth you can see her say ok at one point. What is she saying ok to? Me screaming as loud as I can, SLOW DOWN, THE BOX IS BROKE! I am inside trying to fix it before she opens it up. Originally planned she walks over and just unlocks the entire box and were completely done. I will try to post the better video when I get a chance, but that is the reason for such a slow opening of the box. Thank you for your input and I appreciate whatever help anyone else can offer. Ahh ok. Yeah I got a vibe like something went wrong there but wasn't sure. Good cover then.
If you want to experience new music that is LIKE the song you have, Go to Pandora.com. That's how I find a bunch of songs/artists that I never knew about. Create a station by inputting a song or an artist. Then Pandora will find a bunch of songs that match your entry and it will continually play songs back to back to back like a radio with no host. Looks like you want an upbeat type of song, but not mainstream. Pandora will help greatly with that. Hope this helps. Persist. Chris Brown
