Greeting Brothers in Christ,

I posted a similar post in the FCM memebrs forum but thought I would place one here too as it seems to be used more. I'm posting this prayer request that you might join with me. I have been a member of FCM since I first started magic back in 1996. I have been a full-time family entertainer for the past 4 year in the state of Maine serving Northern New England. About 2 weeks ago on a long trip home God impressed on heart that I have honed my craft for long enough and it's now time to start using my talents for Him in a new level. So I am asking your prayers for God's direction in my life. Thank you in advance for your prayers.

Yes, Carroll, I will pray for you as others have prayed for me. I pray for discernment as you attempt to follow God's path for you and your ministry. His Word never comes back void; that is His promise. God bless you as you go forth to serve Him.

Good luck, hope it works out! Wow, that's about the best anyone has to offer that does not know God or the effectiveness of prayer. I will pray that God will direct you and use you and your gifts & talents.

God impressed this on your heart? Yes I too will pray for you---but it sounds like God has a path already mapped out for you and now simply follow Him. Hold onto Him as He takes you on the journey of your life!

I have added you to my list, I pray for lots of folks several times a day. You should read "Incredible answers to prayer" by Rodger Morneau... He has several books out, I would read them all.

A few years ago I went through a similar experience. Serving HIM fulltime through magic/escapes/etc. is a real walk in faith. It continues to be very challenging in so many ways.

The best news I can share with you about it is that the same challenges that keep me a bit scared, keep me faithful. I have never been so reliant upon God on a day-to-day, hour-by-hour basis. It has grown me and my faith in so many ways and I have to say, my understanding of God far over shadows the understanding I had before I started.

The best advice I can share with you is don't look at the wind (Matthew 14:30) or you'll sink. Keep your eyes on Jesus- even when the winds blow around you. Be open to Him moving and helping and holding you up because, in my experience, that's the only time I "stay afloat". Its easy to move into self-doubt and depression if you don't.

Finally, the best prayer I can say for you is, "Lord, bless Carrol with hard work and endless hours of the hardest and best job he'll ever have. Amen."
