Dave, does Western Union charge a percentage?
When I get my donations let me know what you think is the best way to get Jim the money. From the interest I'm getting thru PMs, etc., I'm expecting Jim will receive over $1000 from my efforts. Please advise. Should I send the money to you? Is there a Paypal fee for that? Should I send an international money order? I've got nothing but questions.

Something else I would like to know is..

All these dealers putting together package deals for Cellini haven't mentioned a thing about HOW MUCH of the money would actually be going to Jim..

It wouldn't be pretty if some of us found out that they were using Cellini as a tool to boost sales for personal gain

Cellini's name has been used for this very reason enough already

Well I do know that Frank has a stellar reputation for the quality of product and his honesty in dealing with people. I know for a fact that every penney that comes in to Frank after paying his wholesale costs will be sent to Jim. I really don't see any of us abusing a brother in need like you're suggesting.

If it is possible to do so, go to a Travelex office and have them write a bank draft in Swiss Francs on a bank in Switzerland. There are Travelex offices all over the US. This kind of draft is not an international money order, but a real check. There should be no fees on Jim and Marianne's end because it is deposited just like a regular check.

I think I'll be able to just wire them the money I get and there should be very limited fees. I've wired money before and it was very convenient and cheap to do so. Much cheaper than Western Union. I just go to my bank and it's done.

The last time I sent a bank check this way, the fee was only about $20.00. It was a royalty check for Borodin made out on a bank in Hamburg. I don't know what the fees would be to Switzerland, though.

That's a whole lot better than the wire transfer fees my bank offered me. They wanted $40.00 to do a wire transfer to Germany.

Thanks guys for the options. Donations keep trickling in. I'll probably be ready for a second check very soon. It's nice to know I have more options to choose from.

The best option is to send a certified draft from a U.S. bank by certified mail directly to Cellini. It's as good as cash to him, he can cash it at any bank over there, or direct deposit it to his own account, and in general there will be far fewer and/or smaller fees.

Dave V,

PM me and let me know if Marianne sets up a paypal account. It'd be a lot easier to just send the money directly to her as oppose to setting up another donation account. Magic Inc. is doing a great job and has been selling a lot of tickets and getting a lot of donations from people who can't make it to the show. Thanks everyone!

Warren,
Your money made it to Cellini. Since he doesn't have Paypal, and we have an "auto-responder" installed, the Paypal notice that your money was sent is all you will get. A combined check was issued with all the contributions. Since we can't add all the names and notes on the check, they are being collected and will be sent separately.

I just got a note from Marianne:

"Cellini is doing much better. He gets stronger every day. And most importent
he is in a happy state of mind. He is so strong and I am incredibly proud."

In an earlier email she called us all "Angels."

I'm going to increase my goal to $2000. I think with a little bit more word-of-mouth I can send them $2000. We've already surpassed the $1000 mark.

I will soon be sending Jim a bank wire for a small amount to make sure the process works properly. Once I hear back that they have received the funds I'll be prepared to send the rest once the sale is over. I'll try to send them a wire today and see how it goes.

From my calculations, to get to $2000, we have to sell approx. 10 more boxes.
Tell your friends!
