Well I was one age off I said in my post no more than 10. No I haven't heard of a Diane Lane sadly. As far as the mic or youtube my 7 year old computer the modem is loud, nothing I can do about it, so if you ever check out my videos there's a small hum. Well my sister announced officially that for Christmas I want a camcorder. I'll show my uncle the type I want. I don't get though the video tapes are usually small too small for a VCR. I know you could convert them, but I doubt I could figure it out so more specifically I'll pic out a DVD recorder. Yes Rachel's act was great as I said. I had no problem, except that it was the school's fault NOT hers for not getting her a headset mic. If I did stage stuff which I don't I have stage fright and HATE speaking in mics. The sound of my own voice freaks me out BUT watching my youtube vids has curbed that. I even did a multiple handcuff escape and I had this girl I know memorize stuff as I handled the volunteers during the search and handcuffing that's have afraid of mics I am.
Anyway does Rachel do Close-Up, and if so what? Peace, Ed, (Eddini), C.H.

She was a local magician here in San Diego, she did table magic at two local restaurants, private and corporate shows, and had her own tv show called Magical Moments, aired on a public access tv channel. In this 30-min show, local and out-of-town visiting magicians would have an opportunity to perform on television. In recent years Diane served as president of I.B.M. A brief blurb about her: Diane is San Diego's foremost female Magician, holding the award "Stand-up magician of the year" for 2001. She received the prestigious award of "Magician of the Year" for the years of 2003-2004 by the "Fellowship of Honorable Magicians." Diane is also featured on the cover of the "International Brotherhood of Magicians" monthly magazine and "The Linking Ring" January 2004 issue. Diane Lane passed away this last October, 2008. She was a wonderful lady! Mark |

It was my camcorder that didn't record it well. Quote: Some, but I don't let her perform an effect (for real people) unless she's absolutely mastered it. (and she likes that little rule of mine) So she doesn't have much close-up she can do, yet. Although she's very smooth with vanishing/reappearing silk (using a tip) if you'd call that close-up.

This will save video to files, which you can easily transfer to your PC for editing. Check out the Sony DCR-SX40 (around $299 at BestBuy) or the Sony HDR-CX100 (which is HD high-definition) which goes for $699.Also search BestBuy's website for Sanyo's Xacti CG9 (around $200) or the Xacti HD version. The Sony is a bit more expensive, but has much better video quality and hands down performs best in low-light conditions.

Thanks, I love Card Work, Mentalism, and Hypnosis. No I understood about the camcorder. I was just suggestion a headset mic so she wouldn't keep moving back and forth. Some other good ones for her might be, Cut N Restored Rope, Professor's Nightmare, Scotch & Soda, French Drop, Svengali, & Mental Photography, Hot Rod, Nickel To Dimes, D'Light, 3 good card controls, a D.L., palming, a couple utility moves, MacDonald's Aces. Those might be something to look into. Great Rule. One I try to follow, Some might critisize me here, but laymen like it. Also I purposely put myself practcing up only for like 48 hours so people can tell me what I'm doing wrong, since no Magicians live close by really. Thanks, Ed, (Eddini), C.H.

She did a great job!
Here's a few director's notes for her act: *regarding the opening. If she is going to begin her act already standing center stage, than it might help to do a reveal; that is to say, she starts with her back to the audience, reading the newspaper, and then turns around to reveal herself. This is especially useful in situations like hers, where it took a few seconds longer than expected to start her music. *I like to make magic actions motivated. If she is going to have a dancing hanky, than it'd be nice if she had a reason to bring it out in the first place... Perhaps something in the comics made her laugh and she needs to wipe a tear from eye. Or she drinks some of the milk that she has in that pitcher and needs to wipe her mouth. *on the mismade flag, perhaps the audience can also notice WHY it went wrong.. The first time she makes the flag, the blue silk doesn't go all the way into the bag.. it falls to the ground and she doesn't notice until the flag comes out without the blue... She puts the blue back in and now the flag is fixed. |
