Looking for a storage solution for pendulums.

I have a few I work with and like to give my clients an option...

Have had chains get tangled etc, in the past -- any tips or tricks for storage solutions that look good to clients?

Links if possible!

All the best!

Are you selling pendulums or simply offering a choice of the one that will be used?

Simply offering a choice, also reading tarot, and using an 8 x 8 pendulum board made of glass...

This has all sorts of options - elegant cases to travel with or something elegant to display with. Take a look at the utility trays with lids and the tray inserts index (in particular - flocked channel or flat using pins). Also the T bars are an option to present with. A jewelry roll would be doable, but not nearly as classy as the tray.

If it were me, I'd do this case: http://www.jewelrysupply.com/index.php?m......_id=8232
and something like this insert: http://www.jewelrysupply.com/index.php?m......_id=6082

This is always a problem with fine chains. A jewelry roll, or something similar, does work well. I had tried to invent a method using clear plastic tubing, (or large diameter drinking straws), cut to fit each pendulum, but it was never elegant or completely successful without tape or rubber bands, etc.
OR you can tell people that the spirits/ imps/ demons put the knots in and they are a sign of hoodoo power or perhaps good luck! (Taking a negative and making it positive.)

Do they still get tangled in a draw string bag?

If you take a bit of nice fabric, and double layer it with an inner layer of polyester batting. Sew everything up so it is large enough to lay your pendulums upon in the manner you like. Add an extra couple inches all the way around ( a sort of padded pillow for the display of the chains, etc.) Now, take some small ribbon and sew it down at the tops and bottoms of the pieces leaving enough tail to tie the tops and bases of the chains into place. This is a simple necklace roll. You simply roll it up for transport. A nice velvet and satin ribbon looks nice, is not that expensive (you can buy less than a yard of fabrics....)and will keep things from tangling.
Drawstring bag, yes they will tangle, even a solo in the bag will tangle! maybe not right away...but it will!

I started doing pendulum lectures (for both magicians and metaphysical groups) around 1993.

I have a large collection of pendulums that I keep in several large plastic fishing tackle boxes. The short & long compartments originally intended for fishing lures work great! And because it is plastic, it won't scratch the pendulums and there is no rust.

Hope this suggestion helps.

If you find the right one you can display them on a horizontal bar or rack designed to hold keys.

This is how we solved it our store. Easy, quick and cheap.

I keep my pendulums individually in small silk bags and have never had a problem with the 'string' getting entangled. Small fine chains however are a little more liable to knotting themselves up.

Not for sale but some of my personal pendulum collection I have in a small clear plastic box with many compartments - I think I found a few at Michaels art supply store or a fabric sewing shop but I really don't remember. I am sure many places may have similar such boxes.
